Good, Not Great -- Gets the Job Done
We have no place to put backpacks in our home, so I purchased three of these units to try to solve for this problem. This was the most cost-effective solution I could find after over a year of searching shelving and hooks that might work for us. These just arrived, I've built the first unit, and here are my initial thoughts:Pros:- The unit seems really sturdy all things considered. The shelves seem really solid despite being made of particle board, and it's stable enough that I wouldn't worry about my teenager's 20-30 lb backpack resting on it. The hooks seem very secure also. I wouldn't necessarily test its limits by putting a heavy backpack on them (I'd put those on the shelf like stated above), but it definitely will hold a coat or sweatshirt easily during colder months.- This is a great system to keep everything (coat, shoes, backpack, lunchbox) in one place, which will hopefully make school mornings go more smoothly.Neutral (i.e. some user error that anyone could encounter):- Be careful when assembling the shelves and divider at the bottom. Get someone to help you, if at all possible. That middle divider piece is held in place with dowels (then the shelves are actually screwed in place to ensure it all stays snug together). It's incredibly easy to snap a dowel if you're not holding it all very steady and carefully.- Do yourself a favor and don't try to use a manual screwdriver while building this. I attempted this instead of getting the power drill, but it would have gone SO much faster (saved me easily 20 minutes or more) if I had just started with the drill.Cons:- Some of the screws want to go into the pre-drilled holes crooked/ sideways instead of straight. If you're not careful, it's super easy to strip a screw or start to screw it in sideways, damaging the particle board.- These already had some "scratch & dent" type of marks on them before I even started assembling. Nothing major, but also definitely not perfect. That said, I know the kind of damage my kids can inflict on furniture, so I still built it anyway vs. trying to get a new unit, but I know this would bother a lot of people who would expect it to be in top condition upon purchase/ arrival.Final Thoughts: While not perfect, this piece works for my family. It provides the function we're looking for, and it's nice enough to look at (the imperfections are only really noticeable if you're looking for them). But if you're looking for something picture perfect right out the gate or something made of solid wood vs. particle board, you may want to look elsewhere.

Happy with purchase
Easy to assemble, not super heavy but feels sturdy and supports the kids weight when they sit on it. Only problem I have to they put stickers on the outside that are meant to come off but they stick too much and peel the finish off with it. But it does the job great, is a good size for the room. Happy with the overall purchase.

Product is not very sturdy
This is not a sturdy product. My daughter picked it out but if you want something for your child, that can take the punishment a child hands out, climbing, hanging on it, I would recommend something else. On the up side, this Was well packaged, had good directions and went together well and everything I needed was in the box. It came with a support bracket to attach to the wall and I strongly suggest using that so it doesn’t topple over on your child.

Don’t buy
This came in used without directions and without all the parts. Waste of money. Do better

Not good quality
Not a good quality- you get what you lay for. Easy to assemble, but I don’t like the quality.
