WestmarkSieger Bravo Safety Can Opener 1032 4470

Both my son and girlfriend were afraid of this as they assumed it would leave a sharp edge. The actual result are the exact opposite of that. Unlike some of the other tools that cut the lid off of the top, this one cuts through the thick binder of the lid and can base. It leaves a smooth surface.It's almost hard to tell when your done, but when the can stops spinning cleanly, you are done. After the 3rd or 4th can, you'll know.This is phenomenal. I can still use the lid to squeeze the excess water out of tuna fish (or let more liquid things drain.

This can opener has never done a good job on larger cans and it can be difficult to get going on any size can. It completely stopped working altogether after using it infrequently for about a year. I'm not convinced it is German-made and it is most definitely over-priced. Do not waste your money!!

We liked this German made can opener in the beginning but 1 1/2 years into it stopped working properly. Skips, doesn't grasp the can, and is just generally frustrating. Difficult to find the company who makes this online. I have yet to be able to find their website in order to find out if they would replace it or offer a solution.I had purchased this hoping that the extra cost would pay off with a great and safe can opening process AND it would last for more years than the standard can opener.If Westmark Sieger sees this message and wants to make it right I'd love to hear from you. Need a new can opener. For now I'll go out and purchase one of those cheap can openers that works for at least five to 10 years.

We used to have a Good Cook brand can opener that operated just like this one. Unfortunately, the Good Cook style was discontinued. I have searched for years for a suitable replacement and nothing seemed to be quite as good as Good Cook (a relatively cheap brand)...until this Sieger-Bravo can opener. It's pricey, but considering I have been searching for a while, it was worth the wait and price. It was shipped directly from Germany, but arrived in a reasonable amount of time just before Christmas.

Purchase to replace my old OXO. Super sharp blade glides smoothly and cut cleanly in a compact form without touching the food. Highly recommend.

Very well made, and it works every time but....you must learn how rto get the angle properly. Once you have it correctly set, it opens, AND leaves you with a clid yo can pop on if you have a remainder in the can.

We open cans a lot and now that we have this product and have the hang of using it, we both love it. Paid a little extra and once again you get what you pay for.

Only can opener I will ever buy. Buy one you wont be disappointed.
