Q: Why does the headline title say blackmagic design atem mini pro switcher when it is not the pro version that is being sold here?

That's a very fair question - we've been asking Amazon to fix this for a few weeks now. Unfortunately this issue is at their end and no individual seller can resolve it currently. I can confirm that this is definitely the standard Atem Mini and not the Atem Mini Pro. Sorry for any confusion.

Q: Can this be powered by an external battery for out in the field useage?

ATEM Mini can be powered from an external battery which is compatible with the power supply parameters of 12V 18W DC.

Q: Does the audio in get delayed in line with any video processing so it is still in sync on the output?

There is no latency in the stream no

Q: Can you connect a laptop and say a DVD player and use it to switch those?

In principle, yes. You would need to have HDMI outputs from the laptop and the DVD player, and these would need to be connected to two of the ATEM Mini’s HDMI inputs. You could then use the ATEM Mini to switch and cross-fade between these two input signals.
