Set in twin realms one Science driven the other magic, This Series tells a story of a mans journey to discover himself and save the worlds he loves. Would love to see in film. Simply brilliant. Book one tells of How Style becomes the blue Adept

Lightweight but fun
An enjoyable romp into parallel worlds. The first is a world where the rich are super rich and the serfs run around naked, which is good because the author does so love describing busty little nymphs. Our hero is a jockey who gets injured, but before being discarded he escapes into a fantasy land with help from a busty little robot. In fantasy land he hooks up with another busty little nymphette who turns out to be a unicorn, and discovers that he can do magic. He has lots of adventures in both lands before discovering that he is quite important in fantasy land. One of the author's better books of those I've read

Toal bliss to read
This book is a fast read that will make you want to re-read it over and over. I was fist introduced to this book by a friend. Firstly let me point out i am not the reading type, however this book had me hooked i couldn't stop reading it (I've missed quite a few stops on the bus because of this book).Piers Anthony has created a wonderful world (or worlds should i say) in which Stile (the main character) is a minor inhabitant he is a jocy on a planet called proton until it all goes pear-shaped when there is a threat on his life. The title 'Split Infinity' makes more sense after you've read the book. Piers has two worlds which are parallel dimentions on is Proton and one is called Phaze. Proton being the futuristic planet barren out side bio-domes, and Phaze being a lush land of magic and mythical creatures. All in all this book is an amasing read it totaly pulls you in and you won't want to put it down and you be sad to when you've finished.BTW: Split Infinity is number one in a series called The Apprentice Adept Series.

The magic of the re-reading of an old favorite
There's something almost magical in and of itself in going back to a book I first read as a young teenager. I remember picking this book solely because of the unicorn on the cover and how much I wanted one like Neysa! When I got my first tattoo, I chose the colors of her brother, Clip, in an homage to the unicorns of this series and even now, when I think of the finest examples of unicorns in scifi/fantasy I still think of these. The story holds up well against our own technological advances and yet it's still very much a product of the time it was written; I suspect that Piers Anthony would write this story very differently if he wrote it today, with a lot more concrete science in the Proton frame which has a simplistic feel now that was valid then. All fantasy requires the suspension of disbelief by the reader because much as we might wish, magic and unicorns don't exist in our world. That said, this is still a fabulous book for the 'tween age with enough adult content to be a window into the adult sexuality without any explicit language that kids already get too much of. As an adult reader there's probably too much simplicity in the relationships between characters but in a fun read, do you really want to slog through "War and Peace" or do you want to turn off your brain and be entertained?Take this book, and the other two in the series, as the uncomplicated romp they were written as from a less advanced moment in the digital age and you'll enjoy the read!

Still love this!
It's a long time since I read this. It is still as enjoyable as I remembered. Can't wait to get to the rest of the series.
