An unusual tent that ticks the boxes
I bought this tent for some fine weather woodland camping. It is a single skin tent and comes with no poles, so you either improvise in woodland or buy some poles if you are camping away from trees. In the UK I use Lomo poles which are twist adjustable ideal for this tent.It take a little time to figure out how to put it up, but once up and guyed out with the canopy open, its a really nice tent to be around. Massive inside and the mesh door is thick so will keep out the most intrepid bugs.In dry conditions its easy enough to get good airflow by leaving the canopy part open and the back vents wide open. Condensation was not an issue.I was unfortunate enough to feel the full force of Storm Betty in the UK in August 2023. Heavy rain and strong winds over a 24hour period. The tent was well closed down and condensation was a problem, but not overly so.. The tent stood up well and there was no water leaks inside; the only moisture coming from condensation.I really like this tent configuration. Sitting under the canopy of an evening its a really relaxing place to be.

Fab tent
Recently switched from a bivy style tent and tarp shelter combination to this. Fantastic tent for the money. Lightweight and compressible to quite a compact pack size. This design effectively replaces both my tarp shelter and bivy tent. Providing a generous space for one or comfortable area for two. Decent vestibule space and a shelter area for cooking when raining. Ventilation is good and I had no issues with condensation. Camped in heavy rain and no issues with water ingress. Best used in more sheltered areas as i don’t think it will perform in extreme open wind particularly well. Very quick to pitch even in the rain (requires 2 or 4 sticks approximately 125-130cm in length. I used a pair of custom 125cm 5 section ultralight carbon poles rather than walking sticks for bikepacking to keep things packable and lightweight. Total supplied pack weight 1.5kg (225grams of which for supplied ropes and pegs). It may seem heavy for the pack weight conscious but when you consider the size and convenience and comfort of a large tent you can sit up in with large sheltered outdoor area in one, it actually makes a lot a sense.

Almost ideal
I've long considered this tent, it was £80 on the prime sale so I went for it.It is lightweight, roomy, looks good.....But it still leaks. I had it up overnight and it was wet through the next morning after a night of rain. But all is not lost. The seams are taped with the exception of the seam above the ventilation flap at the back, and that's where all the water came in. After some advice on the tinterpage, I mixed some silicone sealant with white spirit, ignored the advice to dab it on thinly, and just went for it. Stuck loads on the outside of that seam, and some across the very top for good measure. It's worked an absolute treat and cost me nothing. Bone dry inside after three days.Honestly, given the improvements one tigris have put in, it should come waterproof. But for the £80 I paid plus about ten minutes work, I've what appears to be an excellent backpacking tent that sheds rain like a good un.

Great Baker style shelter.
Fantastic shelter, had this a while now but only just used it last week in the lake district. I own the tipi nova from the same brand and also liked the look of this so I went for it. Setup is easy, either two sticks, or walking poles, or it can be suspended from a ridge line. The shelter comes with the necessary pegs and guys although I could have used more pegs! The night of the camp was horrendous! Gale force winds and pelting rain!! I didn't hold out much hope when the winds started but the shelter held up admiraly. I like this shelter and would highly recommend it. I would like to point out one criticism be it a small one. I found no branding from the company on my unit? Could this be an early model? Or is it just on that missed the one tigris branding? Great shelter. Good price.

Excellent shelter, but with confidence
This shelter lives up to its reputation it is well made and versatile, can be used with walking poles or branches, it can also be used with a ridge line. The opening side offers shelter from either sun or rain. If your thinking of buying this, just do it you won't regret it
