No mention was made in the information supplied that the battery needed a minor modification to work with yaesu ft60, I popped the new battery in to the radio and it wouldn’t charge after a bit of head scratching and talking to Karen at the help centre I was no further forward with why it wouldn’t charge then! Like it usually happens I had the original battery and replacement side by side to make sure all the lugs etc. We’re in the right place and I noticed a patch of silver on the original that wasn’t on the new one so scraped some of the plastic off popped it in and low and behold it works! Apart from that seems a good replacement hard to tell it from the original.

Fits and works fine. Looks like the original. You just need to cut a small bit of insulation from one of the cells in the battery (1) to make contact with a terminal in the radio case (2) to allow recharging in situ with the standard Yaesu charger.
