Got this so that my cargo trailer rides a little more level behind my truck. Perfect for what I needed. I added a 2 5/16” hitch ball to dial it in and now it’s the go to when I tow the cargo trailer. Fits perfectly in the back of 2018 Ram 2500 and uses a regular pin to secure it into place. Is rated for O’Keefe’s Ty of weight and is well built. It arrived by UPS in a box that was a little damaged but this thing is pretty beefy and it came out of the box without a scratch on it so I think the black paint or powder coat will hold up for a while. I would buy it again.

if you have Rock Tamers, don't get it.
the part that goes in the receiver isn't long enough to hang Rock Tamers.

Nice option for 2500/3500 Trucks when adjustability isn't needed
This 5 inch drop works great on our 2018 GMC Duramax for towing our boat. Our 2500 is on factory suspension, stock tire size, etc. and a 3" drop just wasn't enough. A 6" drop would have been too much. I paired this with a Curt brand 2" and 1 1/4" shank ball rated for 10,000 lbs. Reese has a 2" 1 &1/4" ball, but it is max rated for 8,000lbs and wasn't in stock. I wasn't interested in the 6 level adjustment "brodoser" hitches, nor the expense that goes with them. I also wanted a true Class V, vs. running a 2" reducer sleeve, so this was the perfect answer. The 5" drop got the ground/road level to top of trailer ball height measured out to around 19", which is where my tandem axle boat trailer likes to be and is very level. This would probably be the best answer for most factory height 2500/3500 trucks with a Class V hitch when towing trailers with a 2" hitch ball on 14-15" wheels. The only area I could see for improvement would be a "nook" for the ball to sit down into, so it stays put on its own when tightening the ball nut down. Otherwise, a great solution and product for your towing needs.
