Amerex 90-417 B417, 2.5lb ABC Dry Chemical Class A B C Fire Extinguisher, with Wall Bracket

The media could not be loaded.  I had this strapped to the roll cage of my Jeep and went on a small adventure up in the mountains near our place in SW Washington with my family. As we got to the top viewpoint, someone had likely started a fire and didn't realize that it had caught some roots of a nearby bush. I quickly went over and put out the active flames with this little extinguisher; it was just enough to stop the flames, and then I used a bunch of loose dirt to keep putting out hotspots as they popped up until the wilderness fire crew could arrive.If we hadn't had this extinguisher on hand, it likely would have caught the whole bush on fire, and this bush happens to be surrounded by thousands of acres of very tough terrain; it could have easily turned into a huge forest fire.

My main concern was the year stamped on the bottle. I was afraid it would be a year or two old but I was wrong. Bottle is stamped as made in 2023 so I was happy for that. I hope to never have to use it but at least I know it will pass inspection from the fire Marshall.

This is one of the best and most trusted fire extinguisher manufacturers in the industry. I have used Amerex products for years and a majority of other manufacturers do not even come close to the same quality and standards. This particular model is no exception, and is a great extinguisher for smaller homes or applications such as in vehicles or small boats. It fights the three most common fires and is very reliable. It also includes a strap mounting bracket to securely hang the extinguisher to a wall or other surface. I have had to use Amerex fire extinguishers before and they have never let me down. While this model is more expensive compared to others sold in big box stores, you definitely get what you pay for. I highly recommend it.

The 2.5 lb size fits perfectly well in my Toyota Highlander. Very high Quality. All metal. Beautiful on walls, beautiful in cars. I'm happy with the purchase but pray not to have situation that requires using it.

Bought a nice holder direct from the manufacturer because I needed a way to store the extinguisher. Now I have a good extinguisher in a nice holder for the new JLU.

Looks well made and arrived fully charged. Spray handle is metal, rather than the plastic of competing big-box hardware store brands. Wall mounting bracket is secure. This is a repurchase because I was pleased with the first one.

..but still feel like a paid too much.Appropriate size for placing on kitchen counter so I can show off how safe of a cook I am.Wish it was easier to identify which chemical I needed to purchase. Still not %100 sure I got the right one for home kitchen.

A very well made high quality product! The only plastic on this fire extinguisher was the plastic safety pin tie, everything else was 100% all metal construction. I was please to see that the extinguisher arrived with a 2021 manufacture date which means I will get the full 6 years of use before I have to have it recharged.The service from this vendor was first rate! The item arrived well packaged without any damage and well within the estimated delivery range of dates. I am very please with service and product and would not hesitate to order again from TESLA Fire Systems!
