Was not self adhesive
Using this product was comparable to utilizing paper tape from years ago where joint compound had to be installed prior to the application of the tape. The adhesive on the mesh roll is non existant, so it had to be applied as it used to be done. (The packaging indicates that it is adhesive.). It cuts easily and it was used for a project. ***UPDATE*** The seller reached out quickly and offered a solution. Updated the rating from 3 stars to 5. Excellent customer service!

Decent white electical tape and non-brittle zipties
Electrical tape is a fairly simple product. This product covers the basics - it's white, it's sticky, and it does a passable job of insulating wire, or ghetto wire labeling. The free zipties that came with it are notable in that they have a slightly waxier finish than most plastic zipties, and feel a little more flexible. I haven't used them for very long and can't vouch for how they hold up with age or exposure to UV light, but I have a feeling this may age (and stay flexible) for longer than some cheap variants. Overall, these two items are well priced and both seem to do a decent enough job

Weak adhesive, strong fibers
Th adhesive is very weak. It won't even hold the tape in place on a clean lightly-roughened surface. I estimate it holds about 1/4 as well as a postit note. The fiberglass mesh is strong.

Fixed Apple Power Cords
I bought this specifically to fix up fraying Apple power cords. Like you, I imagine, I find it absurd that these $$ cords commit suicide. Does it fix the cord? YES. Does it stay on? YES. Does it cause additional breaks down the cord? Yes, but that's because the cord is made to break. No worries. Just add more tape. I barely even notice the white tape on the cords; it blends in reasonably well. Highly recommend for this purpose.
