I need to make sure my metabolic levels of Vitamin A and this product helps me do that, as Beta Carotene is converted into Vitamin A when metabolized. It's a quality product for a good price. I take Beta Carotene to keep my Vitamin A levels up for a couple reasons. Primarily, it's difficult, if not impossible, to take too much Beta Carotene. It's not toxic like too much Vitamin A could possibly be. The other reason is that I've taken Vitamin A and for some reason, for me personally, I don't get the same beneficial results as from Beta Carotene. Another thing is that available Vitamin A is imperative for B12 to work properly.

The other NOW version has 833% daily value, this one only has 500%, this somehow costs more and takes longer to ship. Don’t buy this weird version that for some reason amazon pushed up on the list for more people to see yet has inferior quality. I regret buying this because I did not see the other version lower on the list. Cannot return or cancel the order.
