Pentel EnerGel Pearl Deluxe RTX Retractable Liquid Gel Pen, (0.7mm), Accent, Blue Ink, 3 Pack (BL77WBP3C)

I was really surprised by these pens. I like gel pens and tried many, but too often they were not particularly smooth and more often than not the flow of ink occasionally blotched or skipped (blanked out). These rarely display any of those flaws and my script just flies across the page. Ink colors are are vibrant and dry quickly, no smearing. This pen, along with the Bic Gelocity are my go-to pens these days. Highly recommended.

These are my absolute FAVORITE pens I've ever used. I'm very particular about pens: I like blue ink, and I hold my pens funny (everyone tried to fix it when I was younger but they couldn't break the habit), which means even as a right-handed writer I tend to smear ink as I write. These blue ink pens have a vibrant color that dries instantly, which means no more smears across my paper or my hand. I prefer the .7mm size versus the finer .5mm size, and again, that's personal preference. The cushion on the gripping surface also means my hand fatigues less quickly when I spend a significant amount of time writing by hand. I also purchased a single black pen for the occasions when I need that color, and a box of each color refill, though those will likely last me several years. I work from a home office, and everyone in my family knows not to touch my pens without permission, at the risk of limb and/or life.

I love how smoothly these pens write, first of all. The only time they don't write fully or smoothly is when the ink is almost out. Other than that, they are great! They don't dry quite as fast on some surfaces as others (ex: the back of a photo, or on a greeting card), but they are super quick-drying for writing checks. The grip is very comfortable, and the colors are great! The 0.7mm is a good balance between the 0.5 and the 1.0mm ink sizes if you prefer a normal line for writing. I like the 0.5mm too, I think it dries a little bit faster (the 1.0mm is super thick and I'm not a fan, but if bold is your cup of tea, then go for it). Love these pens!

Good writing pens

I use these for work and use then a lot every day. These are my absolute favorite pens. I've been using them for years and won't use anything else. Write great, very clean, no smearing, never gets on my hand, dries so fast I've never got the ink on me, perfect fit in my hand. The blue ink is my favorite but the black is just as good. Just overall a great pens, best gel pen out there. I use the .07 cause I like a little thicker line but they .05 are just as great, you can't go wrong with either.

My favorite pen ever. If someone walks off with it, I get testy! No smudges or leaks ever.

I love the Pentel Energel pens. I find the gel in the ink truly is remarkable in how quickly it dries, even on different types of labels and paper. I originally tried this product because my son is a lefty but found myself always stealing his pen because I love using them myself. I purchased this pack because it was less costly than the ink refills but I do like the pearl color of the pens more so than the standard blue color. I plan on continuing to use the sleeves of these pens when I purchase the next set of ink refills.

One of the pens just gave out on me and broke. I like Pentel Energel pens but for some reason, these are cheaply made.
