You lose that arch support after the inserts crush down
First impressions were good, but the cheap foam material used to make the insert that provides arch support is not designed to last. These quickly crush down, so you're left with a pair of fairly ordinary slippers that you paid way too much for and don't provide the support you need. I tried adding a 3/4 Smart Feet wedge under the insert provided, but that didn't work out as well as I'd hoped. Maybe just a fleece liner over the Smart Feet wedge would work better. Really a shame. I had high hopes and a good first impression. There's a real need for a good product, and this one would benefit from some better engineering design and materials selection. For the price, this product should be much better.

Lousy poduct, and even worse customer service from Orthofeet and What You Need When You Need It
Orthofeet web site says money back warranty. They rudely directed me back to seller What You Need When You Need It. They also stiffed me.Do not buy these overpriced, awful fitting, poorly made slippers. Just another rip off vendor on Amazon, which is nothing new these days the greedy you know whats….

These actually work even better than advertised!
I have MS and severe Psoriatic Arthritis. I also had surgery on my right ankle 2 years ago that created a horrible arthritic pain and deformity. My neuropathic pain was almost intolerable in my feet and my spondylitis in my back was always painful. As SOON as I put these on and started walking I felt an IMMEDIATE difference in my pain levels as they were all reduced. After wearing them for several hours, the ONLY pain I feel is within my ankle, and it was reduced by half. I threw away the 2 pair of Zigzagger moccasins I was wearing. Turns out they were no good for my feet and condition and could have possibly been making it worse. These Orthofeet are a God send. Well worth every penny. Kudos on a product that actually works in this line of pain relieving slippers/shoes. I will not hesitate to buy another when I need them. Keep up the great work!

Poorly Made and Falsely Advertised! Truly Disappointed!
These $79.95 slippers are falsely advertised as they did not come with GEL INSOLES but came with dense foam insoles covered with synthetic lambs wool. Also the picture clearly shows that they have outer soles that are SEWN together the ones I received were glued together. Sure they fit but how long would they last. Also the pair that I received appear to have been worn before and returned and then sold to me! This is just another example of deception in its finest.

Very Poor Quality
When I first received these slippers and began to wear them, I thought they were the most comfortable slippers I had ever owned. Now, just after less than three months of normal wear around the house, the stitching on both slippers has very noticeably begun to unravel. Great comfort...terrible craftsmanship.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR NEUROPATHIC PAINFUL FEET
My husband has painful neuropathy in both feet. These are the only slippers that afford him somecomfort. They are well padded and have excellentsupport. They have velcro tabs to adjust them to fit.You can remove the lining; insert an orthotic &reinsert the lining for added padding & support. He sprays them prior to wearing with a suedewater repellent. They have excellent tractionto wear outside for the mail etc.I purchase 2 pairs at a time so he can rotate them& preserve the life of them.

Way back in 2014... (and now today).
I ordered a pair of these slippers blindly based upon the web presentations by Orthofeet. Just a few days ago I ordered a new pair to take the place of those wonderful slippers. On looking at them side by side though; honestly, if I just replaced the insole with one of the Orthofeet offerings, the originals would be perfectly satisfactory to use another 4 years as far as I can tell. Amazingly awesome product. My only caveat, if you wear these with socks you'll want to Always wear socks with them. I've found climbing the house staircase these slippers will 'slip off' so very easily while stepping up barefooted. Oh, wearing socks with this is like the best thing you could ever do - warm, comfy, and usually glued to your feet. Now, I have to figure out how I'm going to use two pairs!

mixed bag, be ready to tip forward, and over-warm, but keepers anyway
Great for my high insteps, and the W is plenty wide enough for my usual 4E. They are easy to slip on in a dark bedroom, a must for me. The construction quality seems excellent too. A nice thick sturdy sole and a very cushioned heel. So why only 3 stars? Two problems: first, "Ergonomic stride that stabilizes and gently propels your foot into the next step." I really didn't need or want this and didn't realize just how much they'd 'propel' me forward when stepping. Walking along is OK, because after the first disorienting step you get ready, like walking downhill. But particularly tricky if I'm bending forward to perhaps pick something up. I feel like I'm going to tip over. This is also troubling when going down my basement stairs. The heel height is more pronounced than running shoes. Second, they do feel a bit hot compared to shearling/sheepskin after a while, say half an hour. Yes, I can just slip them off for a couple of minutes for heat relief, but that's not always convenient. My last slippers were Old Friend Men's Adjustable Strap Slipper, also velcro'd for the high insteps, but nice and flat and always temperate. Unfortunately with those they're not slip-ons so I ended up cutting out the heels.
