I ordered this pick punch largely just out of curiosity. What I received greatly exceeded my expectations. This punch arrives nicely boxed along with the pick pouch and some sample cards to punch picks from. The punch itself feels hefty, sturdy, and very well-made. The bottom of the punch has a rubber cover that can be easily removed and replaced, and there is a pick-shaped hole in the rubber base so you can see exactly how your punch is lined up with the card you are using, making it easy to capture a particular design on the pick. I used it to punch out a couple of picks from an expired credit card, and it worked great. There was very minimal roughness on the edges that was easily smoothed off with a nail file. The punched pick works out every bit as well as any store bought pick I've used. I will never throw away expired debit and credit cards again. If you play guitar with a pick, you will get a lot of use and have a lot of fun with this gadget. Highly recommended.

I gave this as a gift to someone and it was a hit! The puncher is solid, heavy, and well made. We punched out several pieces and the cut was clean and uniform every time. Money well spent and I would highly recommend.

Works great. The strips included are rather thick, so if you prefer a thinner pick, you will need to find your own material to punch picks from. The punch itself seems very well made and durable. Love the file and pick holder that it came with.

My oldest son plays guitar and saw the Pick-a-Palooza while looking around Amazon for things that he wanted to put on his Christmas wish list. He seemed very excited about being able to make his own guitar picks for himself and his musically inclined friends. The Pick-a-Palooza is very similar to a heavy grade hole punch except that it goes through vinyl and pops out guitar picks. The guitar pick punch can also be used on thicker papers and thinner vinyls. My Son has used the Pick-a-Palooza on playing cards and then laminated them. They look pretty cool! You do not have to use the plastic/vinyl that comes with the Pick-a-Palooza, if you put your imagination to good use you could use a lot of different plastic items or just order more refills from the Pick-a-Palooza company. The kit also comes with a file to make any rough edges go away and a case to hold picks. I paid full price for this item. I was given no discount or promises of future discounts. Really easy to use. So far I have made all sorts of picks out of things around my house. Way cheaper than buying picks too.

I'm not too generous with given 5 stars. Don't want companies to think I just hand them out. Work for it! This item, heavier than your standard hole-punch, punches out standard size guitar picks, you can run up big bucks buying. Play an instrument requiring a pick, guitar, mandolin, dulcimer? Know someone who does? Makes an excellent gift. Design your own, will punch-out light to heavy gauge picks. Use it at fairs to punch out commemoratives. Recycle water & soda bottles, I'm including pic of pick made with 1 of the included plastic sheets and my own made from a sprite bottle on which I glued part of the sprite label. That pick is slightly curved from the curve of the bottle, but I have seen curved picks. You can probably find how to flatten "warped" plastic, a hot stove can cause bottle to shrivel, used under weight may flatten it. Children, ask for adult supervision. (That's my safety notice) But the natural curve may serve the purpose. There are less expensive pick punches, but I picked this one. The picks made are standard size, as seen in picture. 3 on top are mfr picks and two on bottom are ones I "punched" one on right from incl. sheet they send, on left a sprite bottle with glued on sprite label.

This is a really cool tool no denying. I bought one for my son for Christmas but when my husband saw it he got so jealous I had to order one for him. Comes with some plastic so you can start right away but my husband has a lots of ideas and I know my son will too. I expect to find plastic with guitar pick shapes cut out of it pretty much everywhere after Christmas LOL. Totally gift double item cut through most things so your guitarist can make the guitar pick of their dreams. So very glad I found this!
