I bought these because dryer sheets would make my skin itch. I can say I am 100% itch free now. They do make the clothes soft and fluffy. I do sometimes still get alittle static cling but it's only with certian materials. People have said they reduce dry time, I haven't really noticed that at all.

I have no idea how they work. I had been wanting to try them for awhile but was hesitant because they are so expensive for 4 balls, but they really do work so I am glad I did. The four balls are a little bigger than tennis balls and lighter weight so they do not make a bunch of noise while you are running the dryer...or at least they did not make much noise in mine. There is a cute little lamb print on the front of each ball.Yesterday I tried them for the first time with a bunch of those fleece throws. These are items that previously would have come out of the dryer in a static cling mess. I dried them on high heat for a timed dry and was shocked when I took them out and they were not full of static cling! I hope this continues and does not wear out over time.I would have given them 5 stars but think they are a bit expensive. I am not sure why they come in a tin. The tin is nice for a gift maybe but I doubt I will be storing them in the tin and I do not really need a coin bank, but it is sort of cute. I just really do not need it, and feel it contributes to the expense of the item. I will probably keep them either in the dryer or in a basket on top of the dryer. I am sort of thinking it makes the most sense to just store them in the dryer though so no container needed.Thanks for reading my reviewBecky Brooks

Since my new washer did not have a fabric softener dispenser, I had tried everything to make my clothes softer and less wrinkled! A friend recommended the Lamby balls. They are the BEST thing I've tried. Not only do they make my clothes softer, but they also keep them from being so wrinkled! They are magical! Well worth the cost and so easy to use. I highly recommend them!

For the past several years I have been using four plastic type star shaped items that are about the size of a ping pong ball and they have seen better days (I think I purchased them from Wall-Mart). I've been searching for the past couple of weeks for some replacements, but was hesitant about buying these because of the price. I finally decided to purchase them and thought if I don't like them then I have learned a lesson the hard way. What a wonderful surprise to find out that they cut my drying time down to half of what I normally was using (full cycle)! On clothes, towels and bed linens plus a comforter. Definitely worth the extra money. I find that they are not any louder than the plastic things I was using and actually, depending on what was in the dryer the sound was not as loud. Most of the time I didn't even hear them in the dryer. I didn't separate my clothes and did have to throw in one dryer sheet along with the dryer balls, but not with the linens, comforter and towels. Going to purchase more as a gift for a couple of family members. Nothing beats saving money on that electric bill!

I dislike fabric softener mostly because of it's overwhelming scent but it's also good to use less chemicals whenever possible. These dryer balls work great for a number of reasons.They keep your clothes soft. If that's what you are looking for then you got it.They keep the clothes separated and tumbling well in the dryer. I appreciate this most with sheets. The elastic-all-around-the-edges bottom sheet that usually gets rolled into an un-dryable ball? No more. It dried the sheets much faster because it keeps them from balling up.You can add a couple of drops of essential oil directly on the wool for a light, natural scent. I use this for towels.Best of all? The tin is adorable! It holds all 4 large dryer balls and can be used as a coin bank because it has a slot in the top of the lid.I am not sure how long these wool balls last but they seem like they will last a good long time so I am not sure I'll get to use it as a bank for a while.I recommend Nellie's washing soda as well. Great products!

nellie's is the best! i'm actually excited to do laundry since buying the detergent and the dryer lambys. (typing that does make me feel like i'm taking crazy pills, but it's the truth.)truly, though, these balls are great! they seemed pricey until i read that they last for two HUNDRED uses.... so they're certainly worth the money. especially if you're like me and you've run the gamut trying to find fabric softener and/or dryer sheets that don't irritate the nose or body. i wish i had heard about these earlier, and saved my money and my time, but now i'm hooked.most dryer sheets make me itch; some of the scents make me sneeze. these balls are so simple: they're good for the environment (no trash for years) and they leave nothing on your clothes. there are no weird dryer sheet corpses stuck to my clothes anymore which i appreciate, and they seem to even make my clothes softer than any of the sheets did.as i like a little fragrance, i like to put a couple of drops of geranium or ylang ylang oil on each ball before i put them in the dryer so i still get a very mild, yet nice and natural scent in the fabric without being irritated or getting weird spots on my clothes. so far i'm really impressed and can't recommend them enough!

I was fed up with the drying sheets and the wax they deposit on the clothes and often will leave a film on the dust basket which cane become dangerous if you don't clean it.I decided to try these balls and I am so wowed. No static, clothes are fluffy and nice. They have no perfume so it's ideal for people with sensitivity to odor. I personally added a few drops of Lavender essential oil and it's perfect. Not sure about how long they last but if they last a while I will buy again. Very happy with this purchase.

I have only used these Lamb Balls for years and just love them! Not sure if this will help anyone else, but here goes. A friend was trying to find a way to get pet hair off her clothes in washer or dryer. I have always used an unscented liquid detergent for dark clothes, and Nellie's Laundry Detergent and Brightener for whites. Always Nellie's Balls in the dryer.....no sheets or softener ever! I tried this.....wash all clothes in Nellie's Detergent only, but soon realized that I had a lot of static from clothes in the dryer, so I went back to my liquid detergent for darks and Nellie's for whites, and voila! No more static! The pet hair was caught in the trap in the dryer. Hope this helps others! Blessings!

This is my 2nd purchase of these balls. I bought a pair 2 years ago to supplement a pair of a different brand. That other brand is tattered and pilling whereas Nellies are good as new. They are denser & heavier which is I guess why they are superior. No wet-wool smell. Well worth the price, especially in the 4 pack & way better than those plastic spike balls you see everywhere.

I had to stop using fabric softener sheets, but I missed how they stopped static. These balls get rid of the static and are scent free, which I love. They are quiet and seem to be holding up well. Great value for the money when you consider how many loads you get from them. I use all 4 balls at a time.

Works great to prevent static. I like how the balls aerate the cloths. I find they dry faster and the towels stay fluffy.I can't believe it took me so long to decide to purchase them.
