The Wiggles - Wiggly Safari [DVD]

I hate this DVD. Not that there is anything wrong with it. In fact my 2 year old absolutely loves it, but that�s the problem. He loves it so much that he wants to see it every day. When we are strong and deprive him of his fix, he asks for the CD. What�s worse is that I have on occasion caught myself humming the last song I heard from the DVD or CD. Luckily no one has asked me what I am humming, because it would be embarrassing to admit that I�m really humming "Crocodile Hunter. Big Steve Irwin. Crocodile Hunter. Action Man." to myself. Repetition gets to you.The Wiggles can do no wrong with kids, or at least 2 year olds. Wiggly Safari is well done and the songs are good. As you can guess the songs all involve animals. It�s filmed at Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin�s Australia Zoo. Song topics include snakes, koalas, dolphins, kookaburas, dingoes, emus, camels, etc., though I�m surprised there are no songs about kangaroos / wallabies.I give this DVD a 5 because my son enjoys it so much. Filming this outside of the studio was a plus, though if you�re not a fan of Steve Irwin this may be too much for you, especially if your kids want to watch it repeatedly. Editing and dubbing are a little off at times, but not enough to ruin the experience for my son.

When we first intoduced this DVD to my daughter when she was 14 months old,she wasn't interested at all. She prefered the other Wiggles DVD such as the Wiggley Dance Party and Yummy Yummy. She was also at an age where she enjoyed the Teletubbies. They had a simplier background and "less busy". At 22 months, my daughter is much more energetic and prefers more movement and songs. My husband and I are so excited to see her jump out of the couch to dance along with her favorite songs. She even says the word "butterfly" when she sees one now. She watches the credit at the end of the show and immitates the guy who throws himself on the ground. You can learn ABC and 123 anywhere, but not the safari! Our friends showed up at our house once and found all three of us singing and dancing to the Crocodile song. See, it is for all ages!

At first, I wasn't sure how my 21-month-old daughter would like this DVD, as it's quite a bit different from the Wiggles' television show. However, she loves it! It holds her attention even better than the TV show, and she sits as if in a trance when it's on. This DVD is set outdoors, at the Australian Zoo, and features the Wiggles and the Steve Irwin family interacting with various animals. The songs are probably the best of any of their videos-I find myself humming them alot! Also featured are the four dancers (two men and two women) that appear in most of the Wiggles Dvds-they're such a pleasure to watch, and genuinely seem to be having fun.Overall, I highly recommend this DVD! It's enjoyable for my daughter, and I enjoy it too!

Confession: I enjoy several of the Wiggles' movies and happily join my 4-year-old to watch "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing," and others. "Safari" is fun, but for me it's a bit less interesting because it all takes place at a zoo, with pretty much every number shot in a leafy glade.... or maybe a couple of leafy glades, who can be sure? The music is also a tad less diverse, and more than one song is a too-thinly disguised lesson exhorting kids not to touch snakes, to take good care of pets and so on. My daughter enjoys it, but doesn't ask to watch it as often as she wants to see others. Animal-loving kiddos will enjoy meeting camels, dingoes, dolphins and emus as the Wiggles romp through the Australian zoo. Late great Aussie crocodile hunter Steve Irwin rivals Captain Feathersword for flat-out zaniness.

I purchased this used in very good condition and there’s not a blemish on the disk. Works perfectly and my little one (21 months) loves it. This is my second time purchasing this movie. I purchased it new for my now 18-year-old. He absolutely loved it, as did my now 13 and 12-year-old daughters. If you like the Wiggles, this one is a must-have!

I live in Australia but my granddaughter lives in the US. As my daughter lived near Australia Zoo where Steve Irwin used to live before moving to the US, I thought her whole family would like this DVD. That is an understatement. My granddaughter loves this Wiggles DVD more than the others I bought for her. She is only 18 months old but dances to it and tries to sing the songs. She loves the animals and Steve of course. If you love Steve and Australian animals, this is a bonus to having it presented by the fabulous Wiggles.

The Wiggles team up with Steve Irwin, "The Crocodile Hunter" at the Australia Zoo and put together one heck of a great show for the kids! It's musical, educational and fun all rolled into one great video. With a mix of catchy music, interesting animals, Wiggles characters (Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog and more) and silly Wiggles humor, my kids (son 6 & daughter 4) just love to watch this video over and over again. This video is one of the best ever made by the group from down under. Another nice thing to note is that the kids get to see and learn about some very uncommon animals.

My 2 year old grandson absolutely loves this Wiggles movie with the Steve Irwin family on location in Australia. It is also one of the last Wiggles movie with the original Greg Wiggle (yellow). I myself find it very entertaining and educational. I highly recommend it. In fact, we lost the first one and he was so unhappy until we ordered it from Amazon.com and received it very fast to his great joy. Well worth the money. Bindi Irwin is adorable and a real pro. I have nothing negative to say about this Wiggles-Steve Irwin movie. I think it's great! It is right for your child in every way.

Amazing. My son has watched this four million times. The first five or six times I really enjoyed it. The songs are fantastic and Steve Irwin is great as are all the wiggles. However by the time I had to endure this for the three hundredth and forty third time I began to dislike it. Once we were one million views in I was incandescent with rage and wished all the character Ill. I didn’t want Jeff to wake up, i hoped he’d never wake up. I hoped Anthony ate so much he got diabetes and lost a leg and wasn’t able to perform. I hoped Murray accidentally slipped doing a song and fell on his guitar and the underside of his jaw, the soft bit violently impaled itself on his guitar. I hoped Greg drove the big red car off a cliff, it bursting into flames as it tumbled towards the crocodile infested very deep river. I hoped Captain Feathersword would have a significant mental breakdown and bludgeon Wags the dog and Dorothy the dinosaur to death using what was left of Murray’s guitar. All in all this is an excellent dvd for kids

The Wiggles get together with the late Steve Irwin and his family at Australia Zoo. It's a fantastic combination and there are some really catchy songs to sing along to. My daughter loves the first song 'The Crocodile Hunter' and has to stand up and do all the actions when it's on. Other songs like 'Australia Zoo', 'Wobbly Camel', 'Cocky want a Cracker' with Captain Feathersword, 'Old Man Emu' - in fact I could just list all of the songs from the DVD, they're all great with the added bonus of learning about the animals too. My children now want to go and visit Australia Zoo to see Terri's pet snake, the dingos that Steve's family raised as pets, the crocodiles, the koalas and the tortoise who's 180-something years old! This DVD has become a favourite in our house, it's excellent Wild Wiggly fun!

I have now purcashed a series of the Wiggles DVDs and they are a godsend! our 7 month old is instantly calmed and thorougly enjoys the Wiggles. Great catchy tunes, bright colours and just great in their simplicity. What kids entertainment is all about! Whenever i need a few minutes peace and quiet, the Wiggles help calm instantly and its all smiles and arms and legs waving about!

UK Format!!! Do not Buy. Will not work in North American! A way to totally disappoint a child.

This is brilliant, Steve Irwin was such a great character and he makes a big appearance in it. I already have Big Red Car and Hoop Dee Doo which are also great. My 10 month old and 5 year old love the wiggles. So do I. I found myself singing the songs at work.
