Best bang for the buck, good laser
I've got three of these now. The third one I purchased here on Amazon. This is an impressive piece of gear, especially for the price. Sightmark really did a good job on this laser.Construction is solid and the quality is great.Laser, although not a true 5 mw laser (its spec'd at <5mw) its pretty close and measurement pegs it at 4.8 mw (on the new one from Amazon and the older ones I have). The laser is bright.Distance, I can see it in full sunlight at about 30 yards which is about the same in a side by side comparison as the top of the line name brands that cost more (e.g. Crimson Trace, Steiner, etc...) that I have and in areas where the target is a little shaded at around 50 yards. Night, of course, is even further. The external switch, well, like the others I have I am not that excited about it but it works and is handy. But I still prefer to activate the laser by the button on the laser instead. However, on one that I have the switch didn't last long but Sightmark got a replacement to me very quickly. If there were ever a better after-market replacement switch for it though I would replace it with the after market switch.Workmanship is great, quality is great, function is great.I have the new one on the top rail of one AR-15, mounted right in front of the Sig Romeo MSR, and set up for a parallel zero. The SIG MSR is at full co-witness height on the mount that comes attached to it, I do not even notice the LoPro mini sight so it will not interfere with full co-witness if that's what you use. I will say though, that if you also have iron sights mounted and they are wide in width that the laser will hit the front sight body on the right side as it comes from the factory. The laser aperture center on the top rail is centered over the right edge of the picatinny rail if you need a reference for initial parallel zero set up.

First one DOA, but holding out for replacement.
The product comes in two main parts: The main piece you see in the images and a pressure switch. The main device was able to turn on the green laser flawlessly. The green laser was a beautiful bright green solid color. Awesome. Then came time to attach to my weapon utilizing the second piece; the pressure switch. I plugged it in, pressed the button and the pressure switch would only intermittently activate. This is the dreaded "Are you serious?!" moment set in. I knew deep down in my soul I was going to have to replace the whole unit. So anyways, I keep testing it and it seems to work. I press the button on the pressure switch and BAM, works like a charm. I figure, "okay, must've just been a fluke, but it works fine now.." So i attach to my weapon and I test the switch- DEAD. The issue is, I cannot verify if the dead connection is coming from the main device or the switch, there's no real way to confirm if it's the connection in the back or the cord between or the switch itself. I have to replace the whole unit. Very lame! I will say though, for the first 3 minutes while it was working it was amazing! Until I test a new unit I'm obligated to keep this at 1-Star. If anything changes, I'll easily change this to 5-Stars no probs.UPDATE: replacement came in the next day. Laser works just as you’d expect; bright green laser- this thing is awesome for $120 bucks! The switch (this time) works! At night time I was shining this at my neighbors palm tree across the street and it was spot on and easy to see. This thing ROCKS.

Great lazer
Lazers case much smaller than the ones shown in the videos. adjustment knobs are smaller than those in videos . A little hard to adjust but liked the protective body . Heavily armored body ... Beam is great size and very bright . Got the cats attention . A great produced , have to see what it will handle when I mount it on the 308 . Only negative the lazer came on one of them when I dropped the battery in . Shut off fine . Like it so well , I've just ordered a third one. Didn't bother with the battery's that came with it . Dropped in some SUREFIRE 123A's

Better than i could find in stores
Great laser! Strong and bright! Just need to zero it good. If you’re having problems with the laser turning one then 1. Make sure the pressure pad isn’t activated smh. If the laser is on then tap the pressure pad once to turn off. Harder to zero than i thought but we’ll get there. The threading was a little tight but still the laser thickness and brightness are beautiful and strong

Excellent choice.
Mine is mounted on an AR15 pistol chambered in 6.5 Grendel. Installs easy. I recommend Locktite thread locker on any accessories. Very compact for a rifle laser but heavy enough to feel well built. Holds zero with no issues (so far). Green laser is visible at 25 yards in sunlight, maybe farther on a different surface or for someone with better eyesight than me. At night it’s visible at several hundred yards. I chose not to use the cord switch. Just not a big fan of those. There’s an activation button on both sides so it’s easy to position at an ergonomic spot on the rail. I also have the older model Sightmark laser/light combo model on another AR15 pistol that still functions as it should after close to a thousand rounds. I chose to go with the laser only on this gun because I wanted a more powerful light than the combo model has, though the combo model is very good for home defense purposes. Adjustment is easy. I just visually lined it up at 100 yards with my optic and it’s dead-on. That’s also an easy check to see if it’s still zeroed without having to go to the range. Use Locktite and don’t over torque it and it’ll be fine. Overall I’m very happy with it. There are more expensive choices out there and many cheaper ones that I would avoid. But Sightmark has worked well for me so far. It comes with a battery but switch to Duracell when it needs replacing. They last much longer. I hope this helps.

Does not work
I put this laser on my 556 AR, little did I know that it would not hold the zero. Not only that but it would turn on at random times during the day and the button wouldn’t be close to being pressed, it killed my batteries. Also when I shot the laser would turn itself off because it could not handle the concussion when I shot, do not buy this.
