Best mechanical pencil, used it for years and years
I used this mechanical pencil all through high school, college, and many years of graduate school. I've misplaced my original, and was pleasantly surprised to find that it's still available. I've become a bit of a connoisseur of mechanical pencils recently, and found this one works better than even the high-end expensive models. In particular, the tip of the pencil is very solid and well-made, and holds the leads securely. That's important to me, because I tend to prefer softer lead (3B) to make darker lines, and the softer leads are a bit fragile. Pencils that don't hold the lead well will break it up into small segments, but this pencil doesn't do that. Even my fragile 3B leads are held securely and don't break. If you're looking for a mechanical pencil of excellent quality, this is the one to get.

I love this pencil, buy me 100
I prefer a heavy, fountain pen feeling utensil to write with. I also prefer .5 leads or smaller, this is exactly what I wanted. I'm not really fond of pens, my writing seems even more appalling with pens than pencils. Carrying around a plastic mechanical pencil seems very unprofessional so when I found this and had to get it, it fits in my pocket, it is nice and heavy, but not too heavy. As a woman, pockets are my worst nightmare, they're so small and I have to force my note 3 in them since I don't carry purses. But this pencil is pocket sized with the cap on, but just the right size when you need to do an essay... or doodle. The only downside is that the eraser is TINY! Luckily I have since picked up the habit of using a block eraser. 100/10 would recommend.

The best mechanical pen
The best mechanical pencil, I purchased multiple of these pencils.Very balance & comfortable when writingThe eraser is hidden in the pencil cap, not the bodyI prefer to use 0.5 version with Pentel Ain Pencil Leads 0.5mm 4B,or 0.7 version with Pentel Ain Pencil Leads 0.7mm 2BI did loose the eraser cap, and emailed Pentel Warranty Service Dept. to figure out how to order the replacement. The next day I got an email from Pentel with this message"As a courtesy we would like to offer to send 3 complimentary replacement eraser caps for your Sharp Kerry pencils."

I wanted to love it.
I really wanted to love this pencil. I've got a huge collection of random mechanical pencils in various price ranges and I've always heard good things about the Kerry. Unfortunately it just doesn't meet my expectations.I DO love the style. 10 points for the absolute fanciness of it. This thing just looks beautiful. When you've got the cap on the back it still looks great and you can still click to extrude the lead. Construction is also nice and it feel sturdy and solid in the hand. Now, why I give it three stars: it doesn't fit well in my hands. It is too short and too fat. I get that it's supposed to resemble a more expensive pen, but...I'm not a fan of those, either. I like my mechanical pencils to be fairly thin and long. I want the weight near the front, not so evenly distributed. It is.....just so balanced.I dunno. Maybe it will grow on me, but I found myself using my Rotring 500 again by mid-afternoon. Similar price point, but the Rotring just feels better.

A wee bit small, but looks classy and works.
I picked this up along with a GraphGear 1000. I intended the GraphGear to be my at-work pencil (liquor store clerk), but this turned out to be a much better choice for what I need. While the pencil is a bit small for my preferences, I must admit its compact size does work in its favor in a few ways: it sticks out of my pocket less, doesn't catch on my wallet when I remove it, and doesn't jab me in the leg when I bend down. Also, the cap is very nice; I like that idea, and it looks classy as heck. The cons: It's smaller than I'm used to writing with. I use a Zebra F-701 pen (which is more hefty and longer), and the GraphGear 1000 is more sized and balanced to what I typically expect from a writing implement. I also haven't quite figured out how to access the eraser, or if it's even available in the one I got (that's a minor gripe, as I tend to use a click-eraser anyhow). Also the grip is not as, well, *grippy* as I prefer. I like a knurled section closer to the point, and this doesn't have that.

Great looking, solid pencil. Caution against order the somewhat mini version. Too small for a man's hands.
+ This is a BEAUTIFUL, writing device. The necked down writing end is useful if and when some extraordinary accuracy may be preferred. I had one of these for many a years. It takes lead well (plenty of diameter in the eraser end to add lead), and its action comes with no complaints. It was intended to replace the previous. .- Was surprised to find that this is a somewhat mini version of their full sized pencil. Pretty useless for a man's hands,to my thinking. Gave it to wife. She loves it. This won't be a return cause I'm fairly certain somewhere in the ordering process the actual dimensions were stated. Had I received the size I thought I ordered, this would've been 5 stars.Again a subjective judgement, but the combination of gloss black and chrome is a class act.Happy shopping. TR

A quality mechanical pencil - no eraser.
I was under the impression from the Q&As that this held an eraser. It most certainly does not. While not a deal-breaker, I do not feel I made the same choice I would have with accurate information. However, this is not a fault in the pencil. The weight distribution and ergonomics seem fine--not great, but then again, I didn't pay for great.I think it's a 3-4 star for me, personally, as I believe I would have chosen otherwise if the description had been more clear. I'm marking it 5 stars because, assuming the buyer knew exactly what they were getting, that seems in line with the cost to quality ratio.

Perfectly balanced as it should be
The perfect weight to size ratio, this pencil is a dream to hold. It feels just right and the finish has a very appealing shininess to it. To add to the luxury it comes in a compact plastic case. But it doesn't just end there. The pencil is great inside and out. The mechanism has the pentel quality to it. Grips the lead right and expels a small amount with the press of the cap giving off that satisfying click feel. I own two of these and you can tell why.

Completamente recomendado.

Unique Mechanical Pencil
Professional looking mechanical pencil with a cap. Works as well as any other mechanical pencil. The grip portion (shiny metal bit in the middle on the product photos) is probably a little high for my liking, but doesn’t interfere with its use. There’s also an eraser in the cap which is easy to miss!

Best all-round mechanical pencil ever
Love this pencil - the cap protects the tip so you can take it with in a pencil case or bag, and the cap goes on the back to make the pencil longer and easier to write with. The cap features a click through so you can still extend the led, and under the cap is an eraser (which I don't use).Great device, have bought multiple to use in various places.
