CITI British Style - Chukka High Top Mens Leather Shoes (Playboy Style # 5612)

The famous Playboy chukka has been around in one form or another since the 1950's. What makes this shoe different from the classic Desert Boot is the black rubber guard around the base of the shoe. Steve McQueen wore a very similar version of this shoe all of the time (on screen and off).This Rocker brand Playboy is made from real suede leather with a crepe sole and nicely padded insole. it runs about a full size large, so size down! I wear a US 13 in almost every shoe there is but went down to a US 12 for these and they fit great.The brown suede Playboy chukka goes with almost any outfit and can be dressed up or down, depending on the occasion. This is one of the most versatile shoes there is. Wear them with slim tapered grey pants and a navy turtleneck sweater if you want that 1960's McQueen 'Bullitt' look.I recommend this shoe and find myself wearing them more than my Clarks Desert Boots now.

I had a similar pair way back when and always wanted a new pair so I jumped atthe chance to get some off Amazon. Great price, excellent fit and I love the look.

Very nice suede playboy chukka with quality rubber sole. I own several pairs of chukkas, including Clark’s and much more expensive Sanders. These don’t have a leather lining like the Sanders and they don’t have a crepe sole, but these are top notch for the price. Also, I prefer the rubber sole because they have the cushion of the crepe, but they hold up better and aren’t as dangerous on wet floors. I’ll buy additional pairs. Finally, true to size for dress shoes. (I’m 11 US and 44 European—12 in US Nike shoes.)

For the money, you can't beat these shoes. I've gotten several compliments on them already and they look great with many different pairs of pants and jeans. I don't think I'd wanna walk all day in them but overall they're pretty comfortable. Go ahead, get your suede on.

I have purchase several shoes from Amazon in the past without any problems. Purchase these boots in black color and having to return them. The smell of rubber is overwhelming. Not sure what these shoes are made of but the entire house smells like rubber. I have never experienced this before. Shoes were placed back in the shipping box and put in the gargage until I was able to send them back.Shame because the boot is actually a cool shoe and fit really well.Would not recommed these to anyone.
