We bought this for the first place parliamentary procedure presiding officer. The winner was super happy!

It doesn't make the deep clunk sound that I'm looking for but it fits the theme well. It's good for what I paid. It's lightweight the gold part isn't glued down but it should fall off just based how it's overlapping the handle.

This is a good gavel to conduct local meetings. Seems solid and functional. I said a good gavel for local meetings because it's construction is not out of oak, maple, on any other hardwood. So, if you plan on slamming it down on the "block" it's not going to last very long. Also, it is of a smaller size so I wouldn't use it in a larger meeting. A local meeting where there's 20 - 40 people would be fine. It's smaller size gives it a lighter sound.

Gave this to my boss for a Christmas gift. It helps to keep the conversations under control.

My son wanted this for video prop reasons. It's actually very well made, and would be a great little gift for a new judge in your life.

This gavel looked extremely cheap in person. The wood and finish didn’t look anything like the photos, and it just wasn’t the quality I expected. I ended up returning it.
