Impressive, fresh, beautiful, thought-provoking, skillful writing about a tough subect- New Cross Fire of 1981 and the Grenfell Tower fire.Good to read work from a new young voice with a modern sensitivity and perspective. But, a very sad and emotionally demanding read.

A difficult read initially, but once I got into it kinda flowed. Not my usual type of poetry but I loved the writing and what the author suggested .

Bernard's volume of poetry illuminating black identity is a powerful read. Highly recommended!
