Eddie Bauer Multiclava

Overall I would not recommend this product for the price point, and am a little surprised Eddie Bauer put their name on it. The material is by no means soft and feels cheap, and this is reinforced by the unfinished edges that look like a child cut them with a scissors (made in China so praying this is not the case) - see image. If you're reading this review, do a new search for "Buff masks", way more comfortable, more options around function (i.e. hot, cold), cooler designs, and in many cases cheaper. I tried to switch it up because Buff is what I always get, and I'm disappointed I did.

Wanted a gailer and liked this one (red bandana design). Ordered it on the spot. But a little while later, I read some of the reviews and might have canceled the order if not for the free next day delivery. However, got it tonight and think it is great. Good weight, stretchy enough for a guy with a beard, comfortable (so far), and mine has all the edges seamed and nice, so don't understand some of the review comments. Anyway, like it and think it is completely Eddie Bauer quality. Anyway, my two cents.

I work 24 hour shifts as a fire fighter paramedic in my city. We are required to wear masks indoors at the fire station as well as out in public. These are perfect for non medical covid 19 related emergencies. They are no substitue for N95 masks but it has done a great job in keeping us safe. The only time I remove my mask is for eating, drinking, brushing my teeth, and showering at the station. I sleep with it on and it is very breathable and comfortable. Money well invested in your health and the safety of others.

I used this while competing in a Spartan race this past weekend. It was perfect to protect hair neck from dirt/mud and poop, especially while crawling under the barbed wire. It also kept me warm the entire time and I never felt overheated or sweaty. I would highly recommend this! It's very comfortable and it stays in place.

This is the best Gaiter / Balaclava that I have been able to obtain.The material is somewhat thin so like 99.9999 % of the face masks it is only going to provide limited protection from covid-19. But I can breathe better in this one than the other masks that I bought which is also important.I bought enough of them to hand wash them in cold water and let them hang for at least 72 hours to insure any virus will be gone. Do not wash in warm or hot water if it fits you. They will shrink.

Super cheap quality but still very functional. It’s the same thing that ski towns and ski stores sell for a cheap option to cover your face. It’s super thin, which is nice in summer but I seriously doubt that it offers much protection against particulates.Also there is no branding at all. It’s just a piece of cloth that is stretchy and shaped into a cylinder shape.Personally I like it, but it should cost a fraction of the price. It’s basically a cheap piece of fabric for 15 bucks.

Edges are uneven and unfinished. Cut by hand with scissors is what it looks like. Made in China. I would imagine a brand like EB would prefer quality and take the time to finish the rough edges. With that said, I paid about $7 after discounts/rewards so I got what I paid for. I would be pissed if i had shelled out the full $20 + shipping.Sidenote: Love EB and usually buy direct from their website. Bought this here for free prime shipping.

The Gaiter fabric is very itchy... I live in the desert and this is being used as a mask during these pandemic times ..not for warmth...don’t think I would purchase again.. Quality definitely not worth the price.
