Math Skills: Grade 3 (Flash Kids Harcourt Family Learning)

We home school our 2 girls, ages 10 and 8, and after trying out many different math texts, curriculum and other work books, I thought I would give this one a try. I am so glad we did. I am very satisfied with this workbook. It explains problems in a way that my daughters both can understand how to work them in order to get to the answer correctly without all the distracting art work or the meaningless and boring text to read through. It is exactly what I hoped it would be and I am glad we looked in to this book.I ordered both the 3rd grade and the 4th grade books for Math and see there are other subjects available as well that we plan to order.I highly recommend these work books for anyone that wants to add in a bit of Math practice or use these to accompany your child's Math education.

My son is in 2nd grade advanced math and I thought this would be a great workbook to help him along. It is a little intimidating at first, and he does need my help still. I like it because it is very similar to the style of workbook pages he is currently doing in school. He has already completed the first 4 pages fairly easily. All the pages are perforated so I can tear them off easily and not have to carry the whole workbook around.

Great book for covering all basic concepts for that level in an easy way. There is a little practice with each lesson. GREAT BOOK! Price is unbelievable for such a great product. Fantastic for teaching all the concepts, review or extra practice.

My granddaughter fell behind and was in need of a quick review. In less than 3 weeks we flew through the 3rd grade math with the Math Skills book. I will now get 4 th grade and give her a head start on the upcoming year.

This is a really good book to supplement your child's school curriculum. The best features:1) Pages are perforated and can be torn out to give your child just a few pages to work on.2) There is a nice balance between "pure math" problems and "picture" problems. This keeps the child from getting bored, but also makes sure that they are learning.3) The curriculum is well rounded and age appropriate4) The book does a great job of teaching the math techniques through hints and examples that lead the child to solving the problems without hints.My boy works on this book every night to "charge the TV" so he can watch a Batman episode. He has been making excellent progress.We are working through the series (grades 2 - 6), so I am posting a similar review for those books.

I use these books for homeschooling my son and we love them. They arrived on time and no damage.
