Worked great.
I already had the en plein air pro watercolor set up. Didn’t like the pallet. So I needed a new shelf for a different pallet. Worked great. But very pricey

A must have for plein air painting.
I am thrilled that this fits my AmazonBasics 50” tripod. The design is perfect, although I agree with other reviewers that the holes are not adequately sized for most brushes which is a shame. Three stars for price + shipping; I waited quite awhile and tried to rig up a DYI shelf because of the price. I have not taken this on the road yet so I can’t attest to the durability but it seems quite well made (except the holes). It isn’t heavy, but also not feather weight. It fits in both my backpack & duffel bag with tripod, easel, sketchbooks, palette(s), etc. (YOU try to not bring to much!). A design element I appreciate is that the cup holder is on the lower right. I am right handed & that’s perfect. I do not understand why so many right handers put the water on the top left. Overall I am very pleased and will probably use it at home as an indoor easel set-up as well as plein air.

Shelf was very useful while painting outside with a tripod (plein air)
I used my pochade box which has a small side platform for my brushes, definitely too small for other things. The Traveler Tripod Shelf came in real handy to hold my paper towel (for hanging hooks & a rod), and my canister of thinner. It has enough holes for your paint brushes, a red cup holder, and I used the shelf portion to lay my sketch book, color wheel, etc. A very handy shelf and it fit snug against 2 of my tripod legs.

Ideal tripod shelf for painting outdoors
Very rigid and easy to attach to tripod. Perfect amount of space for watercolor palette, water and brushes when painting plein air. Only downside, slightly heavy and only the large brush holes were useful for me, so would have preferred a couple more of those in place of the tiny ones, especially as these were provided on both sides of the tray.

Shelf top surface is concave, causing items placed on it to "tetter-totter" or roll off.
Top of tray is concave, off-flat by 11/64" , causing items placed on shelf to "tetter-totter" or roll off, making tray unusable. Returned the item.

Works for my pastels.
This fits easily onto my Sienna tripod. Because I’m a pastel painter, I then use small bungee cords to strap my largest (cardboard) pastel box to the shelf. I was afraid the shelf would be flimsy and not hold the weight of 120 Sennelier half sticks, but I was happily mistaken.
