We have an older desk that the front edge had chips out of it. We filled in the areas with wood fill and we tried three different types of stains to match the maple finish to no avail. So we ordered this product kit and we were able to mix the product to an extremely close match of the original. Then we mixed a slightly lighter color and brushed that on in a random pattern for color variation. The goal was to not make the edge completely perfect (wood fill), as we wanted it to still appear it's 60 years old. This product was easy to brush on and wipe off excess. The brush we used was not so easily washed so use a brush you can throw away.

Bought these to patch holes in a countertop from a previous tenant. The smallest is about dime size. It worked pretty well. It does shrink, I had to do 3 layers on a very thin hole. It ended up with a bit of texture but is a vast improvement. It’s been about a week and is holding up great. I’ll update if it starts coming off. I’ve used it in several other places in the house and it is great except for the shrinking. Update: 2 weeks after install we have our first chip. It is in a high use area, between the stove and sink (we cook at home twice a day) but I’m skeptical how long it will hold now that it has started to fail. Obviously not a permanent fix for laminate counters.

Thank you! This was so perfect and so easy to use. I've had a dining room table I've just had to cover in spots with a table runner, it was so chipped, but this blends right in with the spatula. It's not even dry and I'm already thrilled! I should have done a before and after picture of the chips in the table, but just the fact that the surface is now smooth when it was so gouged...I'm just so pleased! Now I don't have to repaint the whole table!

Followed instructions,but it didn’t work. We had a very long thin scratch that the compound should have filled in. But no luck.

These cheap tints aren't really on par with the tones needed to custom blend wood fill with. They're also challenging to work with as they're too watery and just lack the true color tone diversity to work well in most common instances with custom blending to fill nail holes after the sanding sealer or 1st coat of Polyurethane is applied so that the filler won't get into the woodgrain around the holes to be filled.

I wasn't sure about this when I ordered but this is actually a really great product that you can use for any color of leather. The kit comes with basic colors as well as a color chart that shows you how to mix the colors for the perfect match for your leather! Very easy to use and apply and it works! Couldn't be happier!!!

Expérience faite, pour des taches ou des égratignures, les corrections aux feutres pour meubles de couleurs sont plus appropriées et efficaces que le mastic à bois (encore faut-il trouver la bonne couleur et c’est très énervant de ne souvent que pouvoir commander des kit de 17 feutres alors qu’on ne recherche qu’1 ou 2 couleurs). Et une fois le feutre sec, il faut racheter tout le kit pour un seul feutre que l’on va vraiment utiliser (bonjour l’écologie et le gaspillage). Ce Kit de mastic à bois est très bien lorsqu’il y a des corrections de bois manquant à réparer. Il propose 12 teintes de couleurs. Il est difficile d’obtenir la teinte exacte dont on a besoin. Il faut faire des essais en mélangeant les couleurs jusqu’à arriver à la bonne teinte. Je l’ai utilisé sur du parquet en bois (lamelles) non vitrifié. Les accessoires fournis (2 très petit pinceaux, plateau pour y mettre ou mélanger les couleurs, grattoir) sont bien utiles. Les seuls points négatifs : chaque tube ne contient que 20 ml de couleur (c’est très peu et rapidement vide). J’ai remarqué quelque chose qui m’inquiète sur le long terme : lorsqu’on l’humidifie en nettoyant, le mastic se liquéfie à nouveau un peu (va-t-il tenir après plusieurs nettoyages ?). C’est logique, mais les veinures du bois vont évidemment disparaître avec la couleur, il faut vraiment être méticuleux et appliquer touche par touche en petites quantités.
