These are fantastic! Not only is it a cute set
These are fantastic! Not only is it a cute set, but if you have a child with special needs, these eggs can be used for various purposes. Help them discover and understand their emotions and also use the eggs as part of occupational therapy! Doesn't come with an egg carton (the only thing that would make this set better) but these eggs fit perfectly in a regular egg carton. Eggs made from wood and are a nice quality

Great for counseling children!
I got these on sale for about $13 and am very happy with this purchase. My husband is a counselor and does a lot of play therapy and that is the main reason we purchased these. We also have a two year old at home who got to play with them before they get sent to the counseling office. I love the concept of these eggs with the stands. They are great for talking about emotions and colors, and the stands are a lot of fun for my little one to practice some motor skills. The book is pretty disappointing, but we didn’t get these for the book. I am not sure if I would say they are worth $25 to an average person. My husband probably would have still purchased them for his office but without a reason like that, I don’t think I would have spend $25 on these. I am wishing we had gotten a second set for our home while they were on sale though! I have attached pictures of the whole book.

Cute product, strange book.
The eggs are cute but the book has many grammar errors and the story is strange. Not my favorite. I paid 18 dollars, I would not have paid more than that, I still think it was a bit over priced, but i couldn't find anything else i liked to supplement teaching my son about different emotions. He enjoys playing with the eggs and the little rubber stands. Also wish it had a bag or try to hold the items when not in use.

Bought this for my three year old son who is dealing with a lot of feelings after his brother was born. He absolutely LOVES these eggs. The story itself isn't great but the eggs for us have been worth their weight in gold. Sometimes he will grab an egg and say sad egg... I'm sad too. It really helps to get him to open up about his feelings so we can deal with them and respond to them. These are very well made as well.

Eggs are Cute, Book is Not
I purchased this on prime day at a discount, but just opened it today. If I had paid any more, I'd be upset. As is, I'm just irritated. The book is worthless. Besides being a very poor translation (continually using got instead of had), the book does not have relatable experiences for a toddler. The egg gets a kitten - relatable. Breaks a toy - relatable. Gets eaten by a dog? Farts in the elevator? The cat eats his fish? How about falling down in front of people for embarrassment? But aside from all that, the book doesn't even describe how the egg handles or responds to the emotions. I'll still use the eggs to have discussions with my daughter and I'm sure she'll love them. The eggs are cute. They sit in the stands just fine, but they don't stack as pictured. Overall, it's very disappointing. I have purchased several Hape products and been very pleased with quality and value. I hope the paint on the eggs holds up. If it does, I'll feel ok with my discounted purchase but can't recommend them at full price.

the book about " clock feelings" is horrible and not age appropriate for ANY age
The book has an image of a dog looking wild and CHAINED to a wall- in their story the dog ate the main character- the egg. It displays the wrong portrait of a dog will be a pet children encounter often and worse promotes abuse of a dog by having it chained. In another part of the book a cat eats a fish pet- poor choice for ANGRY. You could have said the cat chew on your favorite shoe- but eating the fish by the kitty should have at least displayed SADNESS. The fish bones are displayed on the floor. Examples are so very poor and I would NOT recommend book to ANYONE of ANY age. Egg figurines are fine if you make up your own story. But they come in a package- I do not think this is a good purchase to any parent. Teaching children to love vulnerable creatures that depend on us is paramount and the images of animal abuse would make you SICK.

Makes learning Emotional Intelligence fun
The kids love these cute little eggs and the story that goes along with it. They can play with the eggs separately as well. The book tells a story using each emotion (Happy, Excited, Sad, Angry, Shy, Afraid) and the kids find the egg with that emotion (and I also have them make the same face). The bases are a soft rubbery material and the eggs are very durable wood. The book is a thick board book, so it should hold up well to preschool use.

Book is awful. Eggs are great!
These are the cutest wooden eggs!!! The book is awful though. I mean awful. Like doesn't even make sense. The story line is lame. My kids are like, seriously. But the eggs are cute, which is what really matters. My kids like to switch the egg stands around and make up little stories about each egg.
