Excellent cordless cheese grater. Easy to handle can grate cheese and bread when required. At a press of a button freshly grated cheese.

I bought this grater about 5 months ago. It was working well to start with, but after about 4 months it stopped turning even after fully charged. I contacted Advanced Homewares as recommended and submitted a RMA request. I received neither acknowledgement nor reply from them.I eventually opened the appliance and found that it contains a NiMH battery. One of the terminals was completely oxydised and covered in rust. This is a special battery 2N1500SC-2.4V with some special terminals, which is not widely available and cannot be easily replace with a general purpose battery. I would NOT recommend this appliance. If bought, I would recommend to be extremely careful not to wet the grater, as if any humidity gets inside, the battery is likely to malfunction.

The grater never worked well. The supplied cylinders are too fine and it always seemed laboured in action. Stopped working completely in under a year so sent it back to supplier. After long wait, they denied receiving the unit until shown proof of delivery. Then sent it back saying needed new battery which is not covered under warranty. When I looked more closely, evident that the unit had never been examined. Managed to open it myself and test battery which was fine. Water ingress had corroded and clogged up the mechanism. Pointed out to supplier who was failed to respond. Avoid this product and the supplier at all costs.

We bought our first one in Rome 10 years ago and this is our third but it gets a lot of use. Our children and now our grandchildren love it! Great with haloumi!

Grating my fresh parmesan cheese onto my pasta.

This was a replacement for the cheaper version made by the same brand. Having given up the ghost about 10 years after buying it, it had done its job. I decided to go with this model as it looked a little more robust. It is and it looks nice but the hopper and press don't come off so it is harder to clean than it's predecessor. It is easy to use but cleaning it is again so I am not likely to use it as often as I'd like to. Considering it is for cheese which can be oily and a bit clingy it is a real shame. If the cheaper version still comes apart I would definitely recommend it over this model.

We initially loved this product but after 3 months of use it’s not working and will no longer charge up.I contacted the seller and there is no offer of any replacement until the manufacturer has looked at it and there is no option to request a return on Amazon so I’m a little dubious as to where this will go now. I did see a previous review where it stopped working after 3 months for someone else but thought it was a one off but we are now in the same situation.I’ll update the review as this progresses with the sellers customer services.
