Green GuruGear Free Rider Bike Pannier, Multicolor, 22-Liter

I bought this pannier so I could throw my backpack into it for my commute, or for groceries on the weekend. Overall, it's great. I can just throw in a bag, buckle the clips, and occasionally close the top with a bungee cord so things don't fall out. The extra pocket for the lock is nice. This also may be a different iteration, since there is now a drain hole at the bottom. I already own a raincover for my backpack, so this was a great option. I was originally searching for a backpack or commuter bag that could double as a pannier, but didn't like any of the options (though ladies - if you like good looking bags - look into Basil! Sadly, my rack wasn't compatible with Basil bags (it's a standard rack). The larger Basil bags are square: I was told you need a rack with side coverage like  Ibera PakRak Bicycle Touring Carrier Plus+, Frame-Mounted for Heavier Top & Side Loads, Height Adjustable, Fender Board, for 26"-29" Frames ).Anyways, I deducted 1 star because the first time I took this to get groceries, I went over a large bump and the pannier would've fallen off had it not been zip-tied (via the handle) to the rack. The hooks also were bent out of shape (I bent them back). It's possible that my groceries were too heavy, but I would expect a pannier advertised with 22 L capacity to be able to hold 1 full bag of groceries. Again, the screws in the original Kickstarter ad would have prevented this: for now, I've added additional zip-ties around the hooks to the rack. It also would've been nice to have a loop in the back for a backlight. However - these are all minor complaints - and I love not having a sweaty back after getting to the office.

I concur with joe shmo's review. I've also done the research and there simply is no other pannier on the market that has a footprint of 12"×10". In Hawaii our typical styrofoam meal container measures 9"×9". I also agree that an insulated zipper top grocery bag is the way to go for food delivery with this pannier. Very good craftsmanship but secure it the best that you can. Possibly hose clamps over the hooks that won't be easy to cut like zip-ties.Now...the problem with my order was that I ordered a second after receiving the first. When it comes in, I'm absolutely thrilled because it matches the first bag exactly. However, the adjustable bottom hook assembly is simply not there and I go from elation to devastation. I send the second bag back immediately. The replacement sits in a warehouse for 3 days and I end up waiting an extra 9 days to get a complete second bag which is not an exact match to the first. This could have been avoided with a little quality control. I hope none of you will have to go through that. It hurt me in particular because I use panniers for work.In the end, it is a high quality product that is simply unmatched as to bottom footprint which does not in any way interfere with your pedalling motionI plan on buying more Green Guru products for my work ebike.

This bag does have a nice square footprint, which means it can carry larger things laying flat. However the sides to not extend very far up, so whatever you put in it needs to be pretty self-contained (a backpack or a shopping bag for example). I also wish the sides of this were reflective so that when you put it on the bike it increases your visibility from behind. The front is higher vis, but this isn't very useful for riding in traffic. I have an older Green Guru bag that has white side panels that I love, but most of their newer stuff seems to only be available in black.

I deliver food for Ubereats and I don't like using a backpack. This pannier fits the larger styrofoam take out sizes perfectly, in a sack or in an insulated zipped up bag that you buy separately from Ubereats or otherwise. It accommodates a huge amount. It is the only pannier of its size on the market. You will not find another that can fit something 10 x 10 square without mashing it.

What a great device. I was looking for a pannier that would be water resistant, but professional looking as I needed something to cary around my gear via bike. Couldn't find anything I really liked. I went with this pannier, and it is awesome because I just leave it on the bike, and use my backpack with rain fly to keep my gear secure. This bag will hold a very full Sierra Backpack without problem. I love the fact that you can fold it down to a small size. I love that the fabric is all My one wish would be something without the colors on front.

So far, it's good. Although, the first time I used it (with my heavy back pack in it), one of the hooks did slide off. Luckily I caught it and was able to fix it before the whole thing came off. I'll need to add some bungee cords to really secure it.

Excellent design, simple, easy to use.Really nice product.Worth every penny if you commute and/or need a little extra storage.

最初に言う事は、この製品の生地は再利用品の為、色や柄はランダムです。どんな色柄の物が届くか分かりませんので、そこは納得してから注文して下さい。実際私に届いたのは写真のカラーでした。製品タグにもその旨書かれています。　この製品はパニアバックではなく、キャリア横に取り付けるサイドバスケットです。パニアバックと同じように取り付けるため、所謂ママチャリに付いているキャリアには取り付けは難しいかもしれません。私はTOPEAK(トピーク) スーパー ツーリスト DX チューブラーをクロスバイクに取り付けていますが、此方には取り付け出来ました。　写真を見て貰えばわかりますが、上部が空いているため防水性など有りません。　取付け方法は爪をキャリアに引っ掛けて下部のフックで固定する形式です。キャリアに掛ける爪は金属性の為、耐久性は期待出来ます。爪の内径は約12mm有るので余程系が太いキャリアで無ければ取り付け可能と思います。　容量は22リットルとなっていますが、布製なので多少サイズより大きい物でも問題無く入ります。　元々TEOPKEAK Trolley Tote Folding MTX Rear Basketを取り付けていましたが、運転中尻にバスケットが当たるのか気になっていたため、こちらの製品を購入しました。普段使うバックをそのまま突っ込めるので重宝します。上記のバスケットと干渉しない為、買い物が多い時は２つとも付けて使用できます。　惜しい点は自転車に取り付けて折り畳んだ時、端がペロンと垂れて少々だらし無く見えるところです。ホックなりマジックテープなりで固定出来れば文句は無かったのですが。　残念だったのは製品について来た樹脂製の底板が最初から傷だらけで、角の面取りもして無かった事です。まあ、どうせ使っているうちに傷はつきますし、角もヤスリで丸くすれば問題は無いのですが。　こう言うところもMADE IN USAらしいといえばらししい、のかな？
