Its a very pleasant writer and includes one Blue Black Cartridge. Only downside is the cartridges are not easily available and converter costs 799 which is as good as new pen. But its gonna last you for a long time if taken care of, so its worth to buy the converter or watch a youtube tutorial on how to convert this pen into an eyedropper pen

The nice thing bout this pen is that it is extremly lightweight but still you can get the best quality writing effortlessly the nib size was medium(european size) but on tge box its mentioned 0.5mm but thats not the size its approx 0.7. The only thing i did not like is that when you open the barrel you hear a sharp and irritating noise that you would not expect . I used the cartridge given with the pen it was skipping a lot . Then i made the pen as eyedropper and worked perfectly fine so i would recomend using tge ink converter of platinum or converting the pen as eyedropper .... THE PEN IS ABSOLUTELY LEGENDARY IN WRITING EXPERIENCE ...

Pilot Metropolitan is one fountain pen that never disappoints and it's the one pen I feel every who uses ink should have. I have the one with medium nib. Basically I liked the thickness of writing it provided. Then I bought a Platinum Prefounte Medium Nib, only to add to my (?) disappointment, that it was making thicker writings compared to the medium nib of metropolitan. But with time, the nib got smoother and the feather light weight of the pen helped to write faster as well. Didn't even realise when it turned in to my daily work horse fountain pen. Doesn't dry up if you don't use the pen for days. The thick handwritting became acceptable and looks good as well. I am glad I didn't put it down just because of thickness of the writing it scribbles.

Pen came in safe packaging. Intially had some inflow trouble, but after two thorugh rinsing of nib section with water, it started writing like a dream. No issues now. Writes like a broad nib. Pen appeared big compared to the pictures but it was good to hold and write. Overall a satisified purchase.

Other than the pen cap and clip, everything else is exactly same as much cheaper platinum preppy. Infact, the parts are interchangeable. You can use this cap on preppy and vice-versa. No point in spending three times for the same nib, feed and cartridge. Pen itself writes well and is good.

Writes more like a broad nib rather than a medium. Do not buy.
