Well made product, but I ended up settling for the medium and returned this one; however, it was my 2nd choice of the 3 lengths.

I had recently gotten the RAM phone charging mount to use with my Samsung S22 Ultra. It is the heaviest QI charging system / phone holder I've ever seen. Add the weight of my phone sitting out on the end of a 3'' extension arm, even as awesome as it is, it was asking a little much of my suction cup mount. The longer arm was fine with the lighter weight X Mount but the updated hardware required a change.Going to the stubby double socket did the trick for my current situation. Both phone and charger sit in a much more sturdy fashion and the fit is better in the small car I currently drive. My phone stays exactly where I put it which is nice when putting in the miles on the road. I routinely use Ways and Spotify and this rig keeps the brains of the outfit oriented well and maybe most importantly off the floor.For any thinking of making a RAM MOUNT investment, and an investment it is, I cant tell you that they are perfect and will never fail but of the pieces I have used I've never had a mechanical failure from one of their components. The high heat in the car did play a part in ruining the X-Grip Rubber Caps but I expect there was warning about not leaving them in direct sun. The pieces I've used have been rock solid. My usage may not be as rough as some peoples but my RAM MOUNTS have worked and continue to work where many other Walmart & Amazon "budget brands" have failed in sadly short periods of time.The RAM MOUNT products are built like Tanks , Sturdy, heavy duty and I believe really built to last where others have let me down. If there were a downside I would say beware of the weight and size of some pieces. I believe its the nature of the beast for building this type of quality. a bit of bulk and weight are the trade off. I think its a fair trade, others may feel differently.

I purchased a Rugged Ridge "07-10 Dash Multi-Mount with Phone Kit" for my 2009 Jeep JK which comes with a short and pretty weak phone grip. My Pixel 3a would fall out from even a pothole so not great for off-roading. The phone holder on the dash tray has a 1/4" threaded hole on top of the attachment point so you can screw something else right on top and leave the existing phone mount in place. In my case I used the Grifiti arm to replace to upper holder and just screwed it down tight once I got my position where I wanted it so now I have both making it usable for another small device or for a passenger phone.I purchased the "Grifiti Nootle 9 Inch Flexible Metal Black Gooseneck" and added a "RAM Double Socket Arm" and a "RAM Ball Adapter with 1/4"-20 Threaded Hole" to attach the 'TACKFORM Motorcycle Phone Mount - 1" Ball Connection' which has a death grip and it puts my phone within easier view and reach.Specific to this double ball adapter it provides a superior grip for my use case. I've only finger tightened it down but nothing has moved at all despite some trail rides and a lot of bouncing with a heavy phone on it. Not the prettiest mount in the world, but it's very solid and easily adjustable. The big thumbscrew makes it easy to really crank it down tight and it stays that way even with temperature changes. Not really anything bad to say other than it's not very aesthetically pleasing, but the functionality makes up for it.

I am a big fan of RAM Mounts because they are rather universal and easy to move from vehicle to boat to bicycle. I easily have 15 different RAM cradles, mounts, and arms in use across my different vehicles. This short arm is the same quality as other RAM arms; however, there is no spring inside the arm (there simply isn't any room to put the spring in it like there is with longer arms). The spring assists with keeping each side of the arm in place when the knob is not tightened down. It's a convenience, not a requirement for functionality.Pros:- Aluminum with powder coated finish--nearly impervious to corrosion- Heavy duty...no concerns about bending or breakage- Rubber ball connections provide a bit of shock absorption to protect attached devices. I find this to be one of the most beneficial features of the system for use on my motorcycle and bicycle.- Tolerant to strong tightening. I use a RAM system to hold my Samsung Galaxy Player WiFi 5.0 on my bicycle. If I don't get the arm tight enough, it will start to move a little bit at a time when I hit significant bumps. The arms and rubbers balls are very tolerant to strong tightening to prevent such movement.Cons:Might be a little bulky or excessively sturdy for your application

Using this in conjunction with a Quad Lock phone mount system on a Yamaha R3. Pretty sturdy and seems durable. I’ll probably replace the thumb screw with something more permanent to keep someone from undoing it easily and walking off with the mount.

Darei 10 stelle a un prodotto così.. ormai ho tutto RAM nelle mie auto, gli unici attacchi fatti veramente bene! unica cosa da stare attenti: nell'inserzione è scritto che il modello è il RAM-B-201U-A, ma a me è arrivato il modello RAP-B-201U-A.. differenza? che il primo è in alluminio e il secondo è in plastica. la qualità è ugualmente al top, la plastica è più leggera e quindi preferibile secondo me dai "biciclettari". Vi pregherei di rivedere bene l'inserzione perché è errata e non è specificato da nessuna parte il materiale! per il resto super OK!

Sehr stabile Halterung. Nutze sie um mein Handy am Motorrad zu befestigen. Bisher gab es keine Probleme. Auchbei höheren Geschwindigkeiten kein wackeln oder sonstiges.
