Great Machine, awesome customer service
Received the machine promptly via fulfillment by amazon. Installation instruction were clear and was able to set up machine within minutes. It takes a bit getting used too but once you get going stripping wires is very easy. I have tried it wires ranging from 2.5mm to about 7.5 mm in diameters and have not had any problems. I can see it being able to strip wires with larger diameters but it might have hard time on the smaller stuff. But in general it gets the job done. I also wanted to point out the great customer service from The Coppermine staff. During installation I lost a couple of screws and I contacted them to try and buy some replacement screws. They offered to send me set of replacement screws for free and they also offered me a new finer blade for me to tr, awesome. In any case for the small finer wires I would recommend their hand held wire stripper. That one takes a little more getting used to. I would recommend using it with a small vice and getting replacement blades for it. Overall very happy with this company and will by products from them again for sure.

Way better than the "old" way! UPDATED May 31,2015
Yes, I was skeptical. But I was willing to chance it. Something had to be better than what I was doing with a knife. I tried making my own homemade job out of a line flaring tool and a razor. That didn't work either. So I had to find something that might work. I'm just a novice at this. It passes the time for me. I'm not trying to strike it rich in the scrap copper business, and this tool was within my budget. The first piece of wire I was going to strip was a 10-18ga travel cable off an elevator. It was easily 200 feet of cable. After setting up the tool, which does take a little time, I ran the cable through to take off the outer casing. It sliced through like a hot knife through butter. After separating the 10 stands of wire I set the machine up to strip the 18ga wire. This was a trick. You want to set it where it barely cuts through the insulation. Any deeper and it will cut through the wire strands. Keep an eye on the machine too. After about the first 100 feet I had to make a minor adjustment to keep it slicing properly. So far this tool has made it so much easier to strip stranded wire, which is what I have the most of. It's, by far, my best investment yet for my small hobby. My advice is take your time setting it up and it'll work flawlessly. UPDATE: May 31, 2015 I have stripped, at the least, ten miles of different gauge wire with this tool. I haven't needed to sharpen the blade, or perform any maintenance on it. It still works flawlessly! I have not tried and Romex yet. But everything else works perfectly!

Good product, works well after proper setup, needs a couple of production improvements.
Saw the ad for this and it intrigued me. My biggest problem was aluminum cable like service entrance and this looked like a good tool for it. Set up for cutting is very important and the directions for setting the rollers are OK for the bigger stuff but I found them to be not the best for the smaller stuff. For the smaller stuff I set the side rollers first and bring the bottom roller up to just shy of touching the side rollers and then adjust the cutting blade down to the proper depth or a hair more and fine tune the cut with the bottom roller. I was very pleased with how it performed after proper setup. I did find that on finely stranded wire I needed to strip a couple of inches off the starting end so I could grab it with pliers and pull to get the cut started due to the thick insulation. It cut the sheathing on the service entrance cable and the conductor insulation easily. I ran a piece if 14/3 thru it and it did OK on the sheathing but the sheathing is not smooth and even, but it did well on the conductors. It would be nice if the frame was a little beefier and a big improvement would to have the cutter shaft slotted and keyed so that it would stay in line with the product being processed, as it is easy to get it out of line when adjusting it.

Hard to get the hand of it, wire moves to sides
Once you get the hand of it, the machine works ok. The wire keeps on coming to the side. The top part is supposed to push in the needle to cut the wire, but the needle moves to the side and the wire slips onto the little wheels. Overall is ok, just needs to be better.

TheCopperMine Manual Wire Stripping Machine
I come across a lot of wire and needed a sturdy, and easy to use manual unit. I admit, I am a little dopey in the beginning sometimes, but once I got the hang of it, man did this machine work like a charm. The copper was separating with such ease, I am glad I waited for it to come, it is saving me so much time, and time is money. You won't be sorry you got this unit. Happy stripping!!

Not normally a cheerleader for anything, but this thing has made me a believer!
It really works! Getting the blade at just the right depth when pulling the wire through is a little tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it, you'll think it's the greatest thing since sliced cheese! I can't tell you how many times I've cut myself with a pocket knife, just to look down at a measly pile of striped wire and wondered if it was all worth it. This thing makes scrapping copper wire a profitable side venture that doesn't eat up much time at all. I'm a bit of a cheapskate, but it pains me to say that this thing is actually worth what you have to pay for it. Oh, and by the way, it's pretty well made too, so you shouldn't have to worry about breaking it with normal use. I haven't managed to yet, and I haven't exactly been gentle. Well, that's it. Just get it over with, and buy the dang thing!

Conforme en tout point à la description. Produit et lames robustes. Je l'ai coincé dans mon étau, il résiste à la charge et le métal est épais.

Works even better than I thought, built solid and uses high quality parts, just remember to be checking that it's cutting deep enough every few runs and you won't have a problem. Very pleased with my purchase and wood recommend it! For the price it will make at itself off very fast.

I was very impressed with the super quick delivery. The Coppermine is as promised. Works perfect. A little time needed to dial in the right thickness, after that it worked great.
