Great value for the money nice sharpener and a nice knife for less than 12 bucks by a couple
What a bargain 12 bucks for a nice diamond impregnated collapsible sharpener with a built-in carbide sharpener as well plus a pretty decent and hefty EZ open ambidextrous knife with the flip open lever . Flip the lever with your forefinger flick your wrist and the knife is open one-handed, beautiful.Pretty exceptional value for the money not the greatest knife ever, it's not a Cold Steel or a Benchmark, but it's a very serviceable knife with a nice partially serrated blade. For the price for both the sharpener and the knife you can't beat it. Buy a couple, one in the glove box in each of your cars, stick one in the each of you toolboxes . 12 bucks for a pretty nice knife plus a combined diamond and carbide sharpener you can't beat it.

Good for the money
At under $15 for this combo, you simply cannot go wrong. The honing rod (that's what it is, despite what anyone tells you) is decent quality. The screw down retention works fine with no slippage, and the metal is nicely knurled for a good grip. It does give me the impression that the screw head threads might give out at some point, however. The honing rod is round, and the fishhook sharpener on the end has a "rounded triangle" shape - in other words, this is not completely cylindrical. The knife is, of course, garbage - but you are basically getting it for free?It is too bad that Lansky no longer makes this item out of brass - as that would be a preferable material for the screw head threads to be made of. Being made of cheap pot metal, they will likely not last.

nice sharpening rod
I bought this for the diamond rod only because of the price. it's a decent rod even though fairly short. easy to stow away in a pack to use for knives or axes. Works well and fairly well built. because of the short legthes and the poor knife sharpen on the other end I gave it four stars. the knife that comes with it suprised me. it was a heavy built and large framed pocket knife. obviously it's just a cheap knife but one of the better cheap pokect knives I've had. it seems to hold an edge well and has a thick blade. I threw it in a tackle box for a always there knife. overall a good buy. if I need another rod I will definitely buy this again.

Save money and get a free knife!
I bought this combo because I wanted the sharpener. The combo was $4.00 US cheaper than just the sharpener alone. The knife is ok for what it is. But in my opinion everyone who adventures outdoors should have one of these sharpeners in their pack.

Good sharpener.
I bought this for the sole fact that the sharpener alone was $20 on every other website. The knife was just an added bonus. The sharpener is larger than I thought but other than that it’s great for on the go sharpening.

Great deal
Great deal! the amazon was selling sharpener only for 15 buck or So, so to get a combo back with the knife as almost a freebie was very cool, However minus one star for the serrations on the knife, when it arrived, it had been painted black, and the paint was on the serrations making them dull, even tho the diamond 600 grit sharpener was not meant for serrations a few passes and the paint was removed, and the serrations could cut againGreat value and a good deal, and also the diamond rod is much heave they others i have used in the past, just FYI for all you weight conscious B.O.B or campers

Price does NOT reflect quality on this one!!! Great deal!!
As a long time knife and gun user, I was skeptical about the quality and craftsmanship of this knife, considering the price. The design of the blade and handle looked well thought out and practical though, especially the index finger and flip stud extensions in the blade steel, so I took the leap. This knife fit my big hand better than most folding knives, and I really liked the grip bevels for each finger. This knife is my every day carry, and I also use it at work as an electrician as a utility knife. This thing is a TANK, very sturdy construction, good lockup on the blade lock, easy one-hand open, with a conservative blade angle and useful serrations. I've had mine for years, and it has only recently started loosening the screws a bit. I plan to disassemble, sonic scrub, soak, then reassemble with loctite in the next few weeks, and it'll be back in business. The sharpening baton is also a very nice addition to the sale. I sharpen this knife and the knives of my coworkers often on the job site using the sharpening baton. Very nice combo deal for the price!

Good deal!
I wasn't expecting much of a knife for the price of this item. Was I wrong. The quality of this knife is on par with much more expensive tactical/EDC knives that I paid much more money for. The hone is pretty neat and will do what it is intended for but the knife makes this a deal.
