Alien Resurrection (1997)
Again, Sigourney Weaver and other actors do the best with the script they're given, but the film lacks depth. The viewers are given a glimpse of what has gone on in the period before the start of the film, but the connection between the past and the present isn't fully explored. The ideas/theories relating to the past are dangled briefly before the audience, at intervals, but too much is left to the imagination. Therefore parts of the storyline seem disjointed and unrealistic.*SPOILER* For example, giving visitors on board a secret mission ship casual access to the ship's highly prized 'experiment' as a means of getting the story rolling (rather clumsily), as opposed to the said visitors sneaking around on the ship to uncover secrets, or to discover them accidentally.

Another Alien romp!
Not the best in the aliens series but still a good film that is well paced. Put aside the odd mummy issues explored in the film and there are still some great performances from Sigourney Weaver, Winona Ryder, Ron Perlman, Michael Wincott and Dominique Piñon. I loved the set designs and Perlman vs Weaver as the obnoxious lug versus lethal beauty. Well worth a watch. The only real monsters already exist, they are humans!

A "space oddity"
All right, it is a bit of an oddity but, this does not mean that Alien Resurrection should be seen as in any way inferior. It is a thrilling adventure story, fronted by the fantastic Sigourney Weaver, (always, always, good value for money ).

Winona AND Sigourney!
Not as great as I remembered from when I first saw it but I was probably transfixed by the lovely Winona. You also get the impressive Sigourney as well. Not to mention direction by Jean-Pierre Jeunet who gave you "Delicatessen" and "The City of Lost Children". It`s good fun.

Scraping the barrel.
Wow. Some big names still can't make this a decent film. I felt sorry for Winona & Sigourney.

Can’t go wrong
Always a delight putting this movie on if you’re into a classic horror movie

Disappointing
I love the Alien series but thought this was a very odd and lazy sequel that has none of the build up, character investment or tension as the previous films. Sigourney Weaver's character seems like a clumsy after-thought just to keep the Ripley character (she isn't in fact Ripley) involved.
