They stick to metal when you put them close to steel. You have to pull them off. Is this magic? What makes them stick? I have spent the last 72 hours sitting in the same chair making these magic things stick to my refrigerator and then pulling them off and trying to figure out what makes this happen and the best I could come up with is that magic is real and these are magic sticks. I will get back to you if I find out the secret. In the mean time I will not leave this chair until I figure this out. Heck, I have food from the refrigerator so if I cut a hole in the chair And get a 5 gallon bucket I am set for a long time!

I purchased 50 of the magnets to weigh down the flap on our dog door. It works great. The dogs can come and go and they don't shake the magnets off but the magnets keep the wind from blowing the door open. There very strong for their size but heavy iron with a lot of weight.

Strong but fragile. I guess that's common with this type of magnet.

These magnets seem to be very durable. They came wrapped in paper and a plastic bag with others things in my order. They apparently moved around in the Amazon box , being they heaviest thing in the order, and did some minor damage to their's and the other things in my orders packaging. Might not want to order other things at the same time but they were not damaged - no cracks or chips so they are very durable. They are medium strength magnets - better than most fridge magnets but not too strong like neodymium magnets - exactly what I needed. They also don't seem to have too much of the black powder that turns your fingers black like some other bulk magnets. Overall very pleasedwith these and would buy again.

Magnet's are very strong and larger then most magnet's at this price.

These magnets are only 1/3“ x 1/3“ very small as far as the description other people have written states they are 1/3“ x 1/2“ this is incorrect also magnets are very weak and a couple or broke not a good value for the price, returned.

For my purposes it didn't make much difference, but for many customers this is a showstopper. These are magnetized from one side to the other, NOT end-to-end. Good for magnetic holding applications, but not for doing "science class" type demonstrations of magnetic fields.Apart from a wrong description, these are good quality magnets. In reading the reviews, I see many of the complaints relate to the fact that these are ferrite ceramic -- as fragile as glass, with sharp edges, and may have some fine black powder on the surface (sawdust from the cutting operation). That's how cut ferrite is, can't fault it for that.
