- This listing is for a 3.5 gallon Auto Fill chicken waterer that has 4 poultry drinker cup stations. Connect directly to garden hose and waterer will stay full, fresh, and aerated with the built in float. Bucket thou difficult to see in the pictures is translucent. Designed to block out harmful UV rays that cause algae growth and still allow the user to clearly see the water level. Lid is equipped with a removable cap under which has a pop out funnel tube that allows you to fill it fast and easy, making it so you do not need to remove the lid every time (as lids are a pain to get off). Drinker cup is a breeze to clean as it is a quick disconnect orange cup. This unit will provide many seasons of trouble free use and can be used for many different birds. Should be hung just below the height of your birds neck so they are looking down as they are getting a drink. Lid has a rubber seal for no leak operation. Training Instructions: Install waterer and tap the cup triggers allowing water to fill so the chickens know where the water is. Repeat this thruout the day until you see the birds grasp the concept and begin using it. Once you see one bird using it the rest will follow. Be sure to remove there old water source prior to giving them this one. They will use there old water based on habit if it is not removed.
- With this auto fill model you have the following 3 options for use. Keep garden hose connected and on. This option will alway keep the water full and fresh. Keep garden hose connected but not on. With this option you can turn the water on and off when you see that it needs to be filled. Fill with garden hose and disconnect hose. With this option you will have an easy way to fill, and with this option your garden hose will be free to be used for other houshold watering chores. Then simply reconnect and fill only when it needs filling.
