Easily removes old thinset from underlayment, subfloor, and backer-board
I bought this to remove thinset after pulling loose tiles from a floor. I put this wheel on a standard, inexpensive, Chicago Electric 4 1/2" angle grinder from Harbor Freight Tools (on sale for about $10). This grinding wheel fit perfectly and worked flawlessly removing thinset from floor, back of tiles, and from Hardiebacker board. The only issue was lots and lots of dust. The grinder has a partial dust shroud, but not a full shroud with vacuum attachment. I wore an N95 mask, but the dust got everywhere in the room I was working in. If you can, get a full shroud vacuum attachment (Amazon has them for about $27) - I did not get one and regretted that decision. In any case, the diamond cup grinding wheel worked great, was easy to use, it was fast, and showed no wear after removing about 80 sq ft of thinset.

Great performance and price
I bought this to replace a a thinner option I would use to shape concrete. I was facing a badly out of level concrete pad under where I needed to mount a continuous edge shower pan. After marking the contact points of the pan itself this wheel to bring those points level. The wheel spun nearly perfectly smooth(very balanced) and the higher number of contact patches made for smooth contact with the concrete to shape it. The price was quite a bit better than any of my local options. Highly recommended.

Best tool for my project
This grinder wheel was perfect for my project needs. I had a piece of slab granite that needed about 1/4” taken off of the side for it to fit into the space I was placing it. I was hoping that the granite would hold up and not chip apart as I used this grinding wheel on it and it worked perfect. Not one problem while grinding and the piece fit great in its place. I highly recommend if you’re looking for an easy fast way to remove a layer of granite, concrete etc. A+

Seems quaility!
Haven’t used yet but if it suck I’ll be back to change my review. I bought a 4” sunjoy diamond blade from Amazon as you can see in second pic and it has worked great when I removed tile/thinset from laundry room 6ftx10ft. Now I’m removing rest of tile in the house figure I’d pay the $20 and put the actual 5” on that fits the makita dust shroud as I have more ground to cover. If this does good enough I won’t buy a 7” setup. If you don’t already know figure a way to manage the dust as it still fighting a decent setup that won’t clog to fast. Also it came in a box labeled 4 1/2” and I was mad but checked with tape measure and almost 5” so good to go.

Don't risk using for polishing concrete or self levelers.
I think I probably got an hour's use out of this cup wheel. I was a polishing contractor for over ten years so I should have known better. You get what you pay for. If you don't care about deep scratches then this cup wheel is for you.

Terrible
You get what you pay for these things suck might as well pay the extra money and get the rigid ones from home Depot at least they remove the material and do it very well and last for multiple projects or jobs this thing will last you one job

Shallow cup design
Installed it and the cup is too shallow to use with my dust shroud. So, it would probably be a good product if you are using it outside without a dust shroud...

Very good device for removing concrete
This worked awesome to remove some concrete to level my floor under the garage door which had heaved a bit in the center. Quite aggressive if I pushed a little but would polish nicely with no pressure applied. Holds up well. Used it for about 3 hours and it still cut nicely although it was a bit worn but for what I did, I'm happy with the longevity. Very impressed and happy with this purchase. This makes lots of dust so I'd recommend wearing a respirator (something better than virus thingy) and of course gloves and safety glasses. And now my garage is covered with concrete dust.

Won't work with Dewalt DWE46152 Surface Shroud
This wheel does NOT fit properly with a Dewalt DWE402 (4.5 inch) angle grinder when using the Dewalt DWE46152 surface shroud. The wheel jammed up on the shroud as soon as it was turned on. It took everything to loosen the locking flange and wheel from the grinder. Beware - it will NOT work with a Dewalt DWE402 grinder with the Dewalt DWE46152 shroud.

Donne un fini très uniforme.
Bonne durabilité. Refait une surface de garage de 450 pi carré. La roue est encore bonne pour en faire autant.Excellente valeur prix.
