I wanted to get the biggest wall clock at the cheapest price as possible for my folks so see easily from across the room, so I found this one. 18 inches sounds big, but for a clock it is such a ridiculous size! Once you see it in person, you will be pleasantly surprised. I knew what to expect, but it still caught me off guard.What I really like, aside from the size, is there are lights for easy reading at night. It's actually pretty cool to see. The numbers are already big and easy to read as-is, but the lights help imensely as well. The styling is retro, and I really like the way the numbers look. The night mode is really cool to see as it turns into dark mode and the face of the clock turns black with lights and glows. I also really like the thermometer and hygrometer for readings of temperature and humidity, respectively. I have not tested the water resistance quality of the clock yet, but it is supposed to be an outdoor clock as well. Finally, the look is really sleek and slick with a lacquered wooden finish.One nit pick is the meters cover what would have been the numbers 4/5/7/8. I would have prefered to have all the numbers present. Also, remember that in addition to the 1 AA you need for the clock, you also need 4 D-sized batteries to power the meters and lights. They will last you up to a year.In the end, I like the clock a lot. I love the lighting and looks aspects, and that the clock is HUGE. Be warned! lol

The clock is gorgeous, especially at night. It keeps perfect time as do the the temperature and hygrometer features. I didn't notice before I ordered that the numbers are laid out weird though. The 3 and 6 are on their sides and other than the 12 and 6, the other numbers are angled. It would be perfect if the numbers were all displayed upright. It's annoying.

UPDATE: June 13, 2021. 30 days after purchase.. I replaced the batteries with 4 new alkaline D batteries thinking that would easily solve my problem (still angry thinking that the clock used up 4 D batteries in 30 days). But no, it did not fix the problem! At dusk, the light comes on but still just flickers like a dim strobe light. maybe good for halloween, but not on our back deck in summer! I will have to send the clock back. Changing my review to 1 star thinking and hoping that the seller will contact me and replace this defective clock. Then maybe I'll change my review again.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Purchased in May 2021. Installed AA battery. Clock works great and keeps accurate time. and temp. Installed 4 new Duracell Pro Cell D batteries for it to light in the evening. I mounted it on a brick wall facing south. We live in Chicago and the temperature so far this summer has averaged 75-80F. The clock is a little hard to read at night given the design of the face of the clock and the location of the humidity and temp dials, but it lights up very nicely. THE BIG ISSUE: After 1 month of having the clock, the light comes on at dusk as it is supposed to, but then it just flickers. Pacemakers beware! The product description said the 4 D batteries should last 6-12 months. Again these were new high quality batteries and they lasted only 1 month. The design flaw is that the light automatically comes on at dusk and the clock stays lit ALL NIGHT LONG. We don't need it to light past 11pm so it is using energy unnecessarily. Yes, we can turn it off, but that requires lifting it off of the brick wall and finding the small switch on the backside of the clock. That is truly a pain. If the switch were on the side of the clock so I didn't have to take it off the wall every night, that would be better. The ultimate solution would be to be able to set the "off" time so it goes off automatically each night. So I'd say I'm happy with the look of it, but disappointed that I'm going to need to buy lots of batteries. I have not tried rechargeable batteries yet but they are expensive and not sure how often I'd have to recharge them. Just wish the energy consumption of the lights met the product description or that the off switch was easier to turn it off.

I got this for my father for Christmas and he loved it. He’s been looking for a nice outdoor clock that also looks nice on the side of the house. He hung it up and it looks amazing especially at night. Fast forward to now and it has stopped working. We changed the batteries, thinking that was the issue, but it was not. The minute and hour hands are loose and get caught on the thermometer and hygrometer hands. I was happy how pretty this was but so disappointed that it stopped working so quickly.***Update***The company has shipped me a new clock to replace this. I am very happy with the customer service and my father is happy to have a beautiful working clock again!***Another Update***The same thing happened with the clock again with the hands of the clock being loose and getting caught. Again, beautiful clock but doesn’t seem to work past 6 months.
