How does this product get so many good reviews? It’s extremely difficult to use... you waste a lot of time and hot water trying to get it to lather enough just to get any into your hair at all. And I had to do that 4 times with shoulder length hair. And then I still needed to rinse and repeat to get my hair clean. Since I bought it for a trip, it’s too late now to get it refunded or I would. Really disappointed.

I was curious but a little worried having read some other reviews. I have been very pleased. I have very fine, thin hair, and have found that after I turned 50 my hair is less well-behaved. I started with the Original Formula and although I wasn’t entirely convinced after the first use, I have noticed that it does wonders for making my hair behave without drying it out or weighing it down. With shoulder-length hair, the first mini-bar lasted about 5 uses, but the second was closer to 7.I really like the little plastic lozenge that keeps one side tidy.The travel pack I received had four mini-bars in it and the plastic lozenge. Three fit easily into the zipper pouch, but the fourth requires a bit of convincing. There was an expired coupon as well, and when I emailed the company the were willing to honour it.I have been pleased, and am glad to be able to take one more thing out of the liquids bag for carry-on travel.**UPDATE** I loved the little bars so much I have almost entirely switched. I still find that using a different shampoo every once in a while helps, but use this about 90% of the time. From the reviews, I would recommend starting with the small bars. It seems like you can tell pretty quickly if it works for you or not. I never used conditioner because it just weighed down my hair, and this does a nice job of the things conditioner might do but without the problems.

So disappointing. I have long thick hair but with so many good reviews I thought why not? I'm glad I only got the traveler size because what a waste of money. It didn't lather, it didn't rinse out. It literally felt like their was still soap in my hair after I dries it. It left my hair looking dull, slightly greasy, kinda clumped together. All and all just horrible, I'm currently using it to wash my hands just so it's not a total waste.

I don’t have long thick hair and I found the bars too small and awkward to use. Didn’t really lather up and my hair felt like straw when dried.

I tried to like this product, and was willing to go through the transition period. It lathered nicely, but left my hair feeling sticky. I couldn't even get a brush through it. After 5 washes (one travel bars worth), I went back to my regular shampoo and conditioner. Not sure what I'll do with the other 3 bars...
