Chicago Power Tool 39611 Corded Jig Saw

This sander definately has some power and works great for me. However, standard sander sheets, ( i used gator brand, from walmart) will not fit it. They are a little too wide and too short to fit the clamps. Longer sheets will have to be cut to fit, or cut full sheets to fit. I bought another from sander from walmart and it is just as powerful and convently fits standard sheets. Also, it was less expensive.

this sander does not like to be tip on its side .. it shuts off by itself. i would not suggest this product.

A friend of ours dropped our original Chicago drill, and this was a great replacement. we were worried it would not be a great as the first one, but it is living up to the great name.

It's Ni-Cad rather than NiMh "Battery Cell Type" as indicated in the "Product Information", "Technical Details".It works: that's not the issue. It works rather nicely actually.I wouldn't have purchased it if I had known that it has a Ni-Cad battery. It's pricey for a Ni-Cad battery cordless drill/driver. After all, one can purchase a 19.2 Ni-Cad battery cordless drill/driver kit with a flashlight included in it for twenty dollars at HFT.The case style of its Ni-Cad battery is now obsolete and very hard to come buy. An additional/replacement, beat up, used battery can be purchased for twenty dollars from Allied International (the parent company that Chicago Power Tools come from). But that's the only place that I've found to purchase one. So far, I've not been able to find one with this case style for sale anywhere else (even on ebay).Buyer beware.

Somewhat heavier than expected, however it has very good power--Great for around the house. Put in your pouch and use it when ready.
