Wide Grip Similar to Logitech G9X
I got this renewed. It came without retail packaging, but looks and feels like new. If you like a wide grip mouse, get this. I have an aging Logitech G9X that has been my mouse of choice for the last 10 years. I've had many other mice from Logitech, Razer, Mionix, and Steelseries during this time, but always came back to the old G9X because I like the shape and feel of it. The wide shape just feels perfect to me and it has excellent control for detail work in Photoshop and Video Editing. Unfortunately the G9X is no longer being produced and Logitech has said they don't plan to bring it back. This Corsair M65 Elite is the closest shape and feel to the discontinued G9X. It's wide, angular, and we'll made. I still prefer the old G9X but this is the next best thing. The main left/right buttons on this mouse are loud and clicky, something I wasn't expecting. It sounds like a Cherry MX Blue mechanical keyboard. Not a big deal for me but something to be aware of. Works well with Corsair iCue software, easy to setup and customize RGB and buttons. Renewed option is a good value compared to new, you most likely will not notice any difference.

Amazing for most.....
Best mouse I’ve ever owned. I have medium sized hands but wide palms. If you have small hands this mouse will not work for you, I can guarantee that. Logitech g203 is probably better for small hands. Not exactly a productivity mouse. Geared towards gaming. I’m having a little trouble binding my thumb keys but I’m 99% sure that user error on my part. I will say when you pick the mouse up from the mousepad around a 1/4 inch off the mouse will still detect movement. I like that personally some might not.

I went with what I know.
I loved every minute of the M65 RGB Pro. I have upgraded to the Elite, it's almost exactly the same. It's got better lighting, and better button placement. But, it's performance is the same as it ever was. The scroll wheel is slightly different. It no longer has big ridges to feel how far each mouse wheel click is but, it's still very easy to feel each turn/click with the softer rubber grip they've installed. Great. I have felt other mice like the G502 and thought they felt a little better but, the old muscle memory of my M65 RGB was too good for me to give up on. It was a great replacement for my old mouse that was a little worn out, but, there might be other styles of mice that are more ergonomic.

Broken almost immediately
There is something wrong with this entire line of mice and the left click switch. This may extend to other corsair mice but I am unsure. Just google "M65 Double Click" there are countless threads of users experiencing this malfunction where the mouse will register one click as two. After some research it seems to be an issue with undervolting the micro switch. The switch itself is supposedly high quality and time tested but fairly old. Modern mice run on lower voltages which over time will damage this switch. I have not warrantied this mouse as I was expecting a better product and as such I will be switching brands. I do not believe receiving a replacement will solve this problem as it is an issue with the design of the mouse. If your looking for a reasonably priced gaming mouse I would personally keep looking.

Great mouse with some issues
This is a quick review of the "Renewed" version of the M65 Elite in black. Pros: - Like new appearance out of the box. - Great looking industrial design that is unique and unlike the competition. - The RGB FX looks fantastic. The wheel is evenly lit and the rear RGB not only lights the Corsair logo, but also creates an underglow on the mousepad. - The wheel feel very solid. The grippy elastomer and the generous width makes clicking the wheel easy. - The mouse can be less than 100 grams by removing the optional weights at the bottom. - The sniper button is and the back/forward buttons are located in a perfect position (for my hand). - Quick sensor, with no issue with lift distance. - Precise DPI control that can be adjusted by 1 DPI increment. - The combination of soft touch paint on the top and the coarse texture on the side creates a very refined appearance. - Exposed aluminum base. How cool is that! Cons: -The iCUE software has some nice features, but the general navigation is not very intuitive. It took me a while to find what I needed from the drop down menu, and binding function to keys are confusing at first since you can not simply interface with the big picture of the mouse at the beginning. Having both onboard memory and software profile save locations available permanently on the tabs seems a bit redundant since I don't know who switches between those two options regularly. - The side buttons (sniper/back/forward) did not work on my unit right out of the box. I looked online for a solution and after reinstalling the iCUE software twice, and hard resetting the buttons twice, I was finally able to make it work. (For those who may not know, hard reset is done by unplugging mouse, hold the left and right mouse buttons for 5 seconds, plug the mouse, and release the buttons after seeing the lights flash). - The sniper button requires more force to press. This could be by design since you don't want to accidentally actuate the button while moving the mouse, but it feels harder than the back/forward buttons, and much harder than Logitech G502 or Razer Basilisk V2 with a similar sniper button design. - The width of the mouse makes it hard for me to transition from this mouse to another. My typical grip is to hold the mouse with my thumb and my ring finger. I feel my ring finger is stretched further with mouse. - I'm using a hard surface Corsair Gaming mousepad, but the mouse do not slide as smoothly as other mice I have. (Logitech/Razer/Roccat). Over all, this is a very solid gaming mouse, but it has some quarks. The ergonomic challenge I had may not be an issue for anyone with larger hand. The current Amazon price of the renewed version at $32.99 makes it a steal.

Re-Certified mouse did not work properly
The M65 is a great mouse. Fits my hand well and the materials feel nice. I initially bought the re certified version to save a few bucks but the left click would not input 1/8 times which was annoying to say the least. I returned it and bought the new version and it had had no problems. The RGB lightning zones are bright and look really cool. Definitely recommend this mouse over my old Steelseries Rival 310. Only gave 3 stars because the re certified mouse was faulty. New one is definitely 5 stars in my book.
