4* for Black Silk.
I thought the Hamilton Sisters series are just pure historical romance. I wasn't expecting a murder mystery! I preferred this over Sin. Unlike Sin, Black Silk has a stronger plot and character development. Lesser emphasis on debauchery, but more on the reasons that drove Lord Swansborough to indulge excessively in carnal delights. I like how the relationship between (yummy) Dash and Maryanne was being portrayed. From meeting and lusting over her disguised as the mysterious "Verity" whom he met at the Scavenger Hunt, to discovering the saucy and bold side of his wife, to falling head over heels in love with her. Amongst other things, Black Silk is about the infamous debauched rake's journey from lust to love. And I loved it! Oh, and despite his reputation for promiscuity, he is sweet and honourable! *swooon*While Venetia Hamilton paints erotic art, Maryanne Hamilton edits erotic manuscripts. Ahhh, what an exciting family! (Their father was an artist of erotic art as well!) She has always had her eyes on the delicious Dash, who portrays the hero in all the manuscripts she edits. What more, Dash dresses immaculately like a gentleman but is primitively ravishing in bed.Maryanne sneaked off to the Scavenger Hunt in search of her partner. Instead, she stumbled into the arms of the sexy Dash Blackmore, Lord Swansborough. He'd married her out of honour, and despite his notoriously dark sexual appetite, his sister and Lady Yardley insisted he was the most honourable man. On the other hand, they also believed him besotted with her.One thing led to another, and the next thing, Maryanne was pregnant with Dash's child. Despite both never having the intention to be shackled down, the sweet and honourable rake felt that it was his duty to wed Maryanne. It's inconceivable that a rake would do such a thing, but my deluded self will attribute this to a budding love. The incident that happened made Dash realised his love for Maryanne. And it was the sweetest thing! This one's a page turner, and you could easily finish it in one sitting! I hope the story about Grace Hamilton in Hot Silk could top this one!

Hot, Sexy and Suspenseful!
Hot, sexy and suspenseful, Black Silk, the second in the Rodesson's Daughter's trilogy delivers. Sharon Page knows how to write an erotic novel that is so steamy the pages are practically on fire and weave an interesting story as well. Her characters are deep and complex and they reveal various layers as the plot unfolds. Her men in particular are very appealing and find a way to tug on your heartstrings even though they can be quite depraved. Dash is no exception and I found that my feelings for him grew the more I found out about him. As with the first book, there is a murder mystery and a shocking conclusion which I did not see coming. This novel was thoroughly entertaining and I would highly recommend it to those that love their historical romance with lots of heat!

Nobe, no good...
There is a certain art form to writing womens erotica, part of that is the building of suspence, the play of words. Like forplay, the words tease and excite the reader, to continue reading like a voyuer to a world closed to her. The chemisty of the characters, the passion buildup, like dansing the waltz. Then the characters and begin to find pleasure, to experiment, experience and yes even naughty words. This author does not create this antisipation, there is no chemestry, there is not heart stoping thrilling whisper for the reader to feel, no here it is sex and only sex wrapped in a package called romance. I can't even begin to like this book, oh I finished it, hoping against hope that thrill would come, but it did not. Big fail and uninspired book. And what is with the Anal sex of these authors, what is so sexy about that, it is disturbing. I don't think I will read another book by this author. There is Erotica for women and then there is something else

It's alright....
Historical romance. Not what I usually like. The words used were wierd for me. The story was ok. The characters weren't written in a way I really connected with. The scenes weren't detailed enough that they engaged me. Ok, Dash was hot from what I could tell, but the scenes just basically happened. No real build up, no real detail to feel, then I felt like they ended in 3 sentences... not my thing. I just could not connect, feel, be there you know? This author isn't one I will buy again. But overall the book wasn't horrible. Seems other readers have somehow really enjoyed this style.

Provocatively spellbinding…
I won’t lie. I don’t normally read books like this. It’s not that I was afraid to; moreover, it’s just that it never really crossed my mind until someone on Youtube spoke about how sensual it was. Interested I was and so here I am, having ordered, received, and read the book. As hot as my face got from every single page, I really enjoyed it. It definitely took me through a lot though; so much so that it made me go from wide-eyed and cringing…to fanning myself, blushing, and smirking all in one swoop. Sharon Page may have gained a new reader.

Regency mit Leuten aus dem 21. Jahrhundert
