its been really fun getting used to this!!! Updated
I havent seen a lot of in depth reviews on this scooter, so i will give it a try.....First, ive researched them for a few months, to realize that i wont make a purchase and i just need to start somewhere!!!!! So, i started here, the price was crazy low ($295) and i really thought the specs were pretty good for this scooter. It originally was a $500 scooter, i got it for almost half, i was looking at Emove, Joyor, Isinwheel and Obarters, Which are Crazy Priced!!! Understandably, but i didnt wanna spend that money off the bat....what if i wasn't into it?? Well, i bought this and $314 shipped to my door, i figured its a great place to start.........im a few weeks in, and this thing is a Tank!!!!! Ok, im 255 pounds, so i'm a bigger dude, but this is SO MUCH fun!!!!! down some crazy hills, not often, but it took it like a champ!!!! Very tough construction!!!! i look forward to every time i get to ride this thing, so i guess i am into it!!! ive already ordered my next scooter, and probably wont stop there!! This Hover 1 alpha will get you excited!!! Unless you are a speed demon!!!! But at 18MPH at 255 pounds, thats not bad for $314!!! I strongly recommend this scooter for guys like me that just arent sure yet whether you wanna spend the big bucks! Another way i look at this is.....if it breaks down, im a machinist and not a moron when it comes to engineering some new ideas for something like this! So if you got that mind set or a few friends that can help in that area, just buy it for the crazy cheap price and just have fun!!!! You would think 18MPH isnt that big of a deal, but i cant wait to get back out there and do it again!!!! But it has been a blast and a complete monster in handling what i give it, so im not worried about its lasting power. Its providing fun right now!! So, Have fun and be safe!! Very fun ride, especially with the 10 inch air filled wheels!! you can find a lot of cheap scooters with solid wheels, that are great if you arent worried about ride quality. This has no suspension and rides rather nicely!! Anyway, thats my review. ive thoroughly enjoyed myself on this scooter, i think you probably will too!! If it says $295, go for it, thats the deal i got!! **Update(8-15-23), i wanted to add, mare sure your tires are full, otherwise you will not get top speed, i only got about 12mph first time out, when i filled the tires, 18mph, no problem, maybe get some green slime and solve the slow leak in the tires, enjoy!!

Has a life expectancy of one month.
There are a whole host of problems with this scooter and the company that mean I cannot recommend this product to anyone. I had the Hover-1 Alpha scooter for about 3 weeks before I had several, terminal issues. That scooter wouldn't work if you touched the power button 2 times until it had been recharged. That scooter's lights and display wouldn't turn on while being drivable. It would get various errors that meant restarting the scooter. Since the scooter had so many fatal errors in under a month, I got it replaced. The second scooter comes and does even worse. It takes about a week of perfect conditions (no extreme temperatures, contact with any liquid, extreme weights, rough roads, or drops) to be riddled with errors. This E6 error would occur whenever the throttle had been held for over about 20 seconds. A 2 minute ride would give an average of 4 error messages resulting in restarting the scooter. It has now been a month of dealing with the faulty diagnostic and the rear tire has an air leak. The scooter has still had the same perfect conditions, and the tire was flat in the morning. The air valve is leaking, not the tire. It only takes a few minutes for the tire to be completely flat. All the while, Hover-1 support has been less than useless. Any contact I've made has resulted in a late response simply saying "contact the seller." It's a shame because this scooter performs quite well, but it cannot last even moderate usage. Just learn to skateboard or get a bike. The scooter is an awkward size and about 40 pounds, so it's not much more convenient than a bike.

Great buy at 45% off SRP
I've already tricked it out a bit with red cable wraps, phone holder, waterproof cargo bag, bag hook, etc. All in all it's a great last few miles commuter. Motor has plenty of torque, and being 6'1" and 225 Lbs. it moves me just fine, and achieves max speed at 18 MPH pretty readily, depending on terrain and slope. On a mild uphill slope it maxes out at about 14 MPH. Negative slope, you get up to 18 MPH pretty darn fast. Flats, same thing. The tires haven't lost pressure after a few weeks, so that's a good sign on tube/stem quality. Packaging it came in was robust, and there was no damage to the scooter from transit to my door. All the features work as claimed, and the bluetooth speaker and pairing are as claimed. Overall very pleased with the quality of the componentry and quality of the build. It's solid, ride quality is good, and at higher speeds it feels very stable. While I wouldn't want to carry it up several flights of stairs, I do appreciate the weight of it when travelling at higher speeds. It would be great for travelling around a downtown area, or running short distance errands, or cruising around the back bay sightseeing. As for battery life, all Lithium Ion batteries degrade over time, no surprises there. And to the extent that Hover-1 used good/decent quality cells from like LG or Samsung, you should get 5 years or so out of the batteries, whereas if they went cheaper/lower quality, you'll probably get 2-3 years. It's all about how many discharge/recharge cycles you put them through at the end of the day.I'd highly recommend this scooter at that price. It doesn't break the bank, and you get a solid scooter with good features & capability. The combination of electric and friction disk braking are a bonus as it stops really quickly. Enjoy!!!

Battery doesnβt charge
The scooter was ridden once. It sat in the garage for a year and never worked again. It wonβt take a charge (even tried the cable from the other scooter that still works). The battery compartment is sealed so it seems to be impossible to tell if a wire has come loose. It was an expensive waste of money.
