AWESOME Tea!!
I truly wasn’t sure about buying this tea. But I’m SOOO glad I did. It’s Super Yummy!! I’ve had a hard time finding mint tea that actually is only mint without any additives, and actually taste like mint and has a good flavor. I drink a lot of herbal tea so buying boxes of tea at the grocery store, compared to how much I drink is not cost-effective. So I wanted to buy something in bulk. First off I bought the 1 pound size and I was not aware of how big that actually was. It’s a big bag so I was delightfully surprised when I got it. I have an extremely sensitive nose and also sensitive palate. It smells Great!! Also, I always cut open teabags and make my tea with looseleaf tea because I can taste the teabag flavor in the water, and I do not like it. I was worried about buying it from an unknown seller. But I was completely sold on my 1st cup. I used only a teaspoon in 4 cups of water (which is fairly dilute) and I absolutely fell in love with the flavor and the smell, and the aftertaste is amazing. So minty. More minty than any other tea I have had. I will always buy this tea forever now. It is super yummy. Whether your a tea connoisseur or just somebody looking for a cost effective way to buy tea, I absolutely love it. It’s actual mint leaves that have been crushed up, but not pulverized - which is perfect. I always make my tea in a Pyrex 4 cup pitcher and then pour through a mesh strainer into my cup. The leaves are big enough though that you could easily use a regular tea strainer/diffuser. I seriously love this product. It is high quality, it tastes great and it’s a great price for quantity. ❤️❤️

The best pepperomint out there
This peppermint is amazing! I've looked for a good peppermint for years, and this is the only one that works. You can smell the menthol just by opening the bad, and also the amount that you get for the price is huge.

I imagined there would be a stronger scent
I was looking for dried peppermint leaves to make scented sachets, not tea, and was hoping this would work better and be less expensive than peppermint tea bags. The dried leaves smell like a delicious mild mint tea upon opening the large one pound resealable bag. However, for my purpose I had to add several drops of peppermint essential oil after each teaspoon of leaves as I filled the tiny cotton drawstring bags in order to detect enough of the scent of peppermint through the thin muslin. The peppermint leaves — including the stems and other non-leaf parts of what I hope are peppermint plants — soaked up the several drops of oil very well and left the wonderful peppermint scented dry sachet that can be used to store with clothing and in other places the essential oil would stain and decay. I was dIsappointed that without the essential oil there was insufficient peppermint scent from this product alone as a sachet. I suppose it wasn’t a genius idea. The dried lavender needed no boost from any essential oil, nor did the cloves (although I did soak a few cloves in rosemary essential oil before adding back into the tiny sacks of cloves). [Living in a pre-war apartment building in NYC, we use a lot of peppermint - mentha piperita - to ward off pests who might consider invading our territory. The basic method has evolved into tucking tiny bottle caps stuffed with chopped cosmetic cotton pads (denser than cotton ball and oil evaporates more slowly) filled to brim with peppermint essential oil around the apartment. Works great, but wanted a drier option to try, since the oil can destroy all sorts of materials, including wood, certain hard plastic acrylic, grout, discolor carpet, disappear ink, peel paint… We place one peppermint essential oil filled bottle-cap in a 2” terra-cotta mini flowerpot saucer and then put that in about a 2oz porcelain dipping sauce bowl (we call them soy-saucers). Terra-cotta soaks up any leaks and holds the peppermint scent forever, but too much oil & it will crumble. The soy-saucers keep oil safely contained, discretely tucked away near entryways, in corners, under radiators, near windows, near trashcans, under sinks, under furniture and in cabinets, etc., and refreshing them is simple because tiny drips are contained within the mini saucer system. We have no problems with with bugs nor rodents, although I am aware that a few apartments on lower levels in this building have intractable infestations. We don’t have to deal with the exterminator and have no pets, so the peppermint essential oil strategy is an entirely healthy and effective alternative. We hope. So far so good!]

DELICIOUS!! FRESH TASTING!! HUGE BAG!!
I bought this because of the great reviews. I was not disappointed in the least! So delicious! Fresh tasting! I have a small mint plant on my front porch but it's not enough mint to keep making iced mint tea so I bought this humongous bag of peppermint leaves! WOW! I made my first 1/2 gallon iced tea tonight. Here's my recipe in case you want to know how to make it. I filled two mesh metal tea balls with the mint leaves, dropped them in a saucepan filled with 4 cups of cold water. Use High heat. When the water came to a boil, I took it off the heat and let it steep for 5 minutes. ( I use 11 tablespoons of sugar or powdered Stevia - you sweeten to your own taste). Add your sweetener to a HEATPROOF 1/2 gallon pitcher. I use my vintage hard plastic Tupperware pitcher. Pour the hot tea into the pitcher and stir to dissolve sweetener. Add 4 cups ice and stir. All the ice will not melt. But your iced mint tea is ready to drink ice cold!I highly recommend buying this. Makes a 1/2 gallon mint tea with only two tea balls filled with the tea leaves. Probably about two heaping teaspoons. That's not much tea to make a 1/2 gallon. So this bag will go far! Perfect for my taste. Just like I had made it with fresh leaves.
