Perfect wrench
So in my limited experience this is just about the best crescent wrench that can be bought. There is a great YouTube video showing the abuse it can withstand versus a peasant wrench. It simple can't be beat. Combine that with the gorgeous black/deep grey finish, the forged tool steel, and the little details of quality written all over it (extremely tight tolerance on the gearing, deep knurling on the worm screw, etc), and not to mention MADE in the USA. It's perfect!

Exceptional craftsmanship...USA made
Side by side comparison to the wrenches it replaces the SK is a work of art and fine craftsmanship. The forged metal is "crisp" and without the rough surface texture found even my Crescent brand adjustables. This is a tool I'm happy to know will be passed on to my children...it's that darned good!

Good, quality American made tool.
Accurate and does not move on ya like those cheapo wrenches. Good feel and worth the money. Love mine.

Better wrenches available for less.
I wanted a quality, Made-in-USA wrench since Crescent wrenches are no longer reliably either. This S-K wrench is acceptable but not outstanding. On the plus side, the parallelism of faces is good and the max opening is a relatively wide 1 1/8". However, the faces are relatively soft steel that is easily marred, and it has almost no corrosion protection, especially problematic on the ground (non-black oxide) surface. Mine has rusted visibly after six months in my toolbox. This doesn't affect functionality but I see no reason to put up with it. An 8" wrench from Craftsman costs $10 less and is a better wrench.

Highly recommended, high quality, a pleasure to use
One of my two favorite wrenches, and both are SK! This is an old school name brand, and you get the feeling and quality you’d expect for it being so, feels just like grandads trusty wrench he used for everything.

Not a good value - disappointed for DIY / homeowner
This is a 3 star wrench. It's not crap, but it's similar to much cheaper crescent style wrenches that caused me to write them off years ago. It has noticeable slop in the adjustable side, the screw adjuster can jam when closed and is not smooth when rotating. The wrench also lacks features in many other ones, specifically the opening markings (i.e. lines on the jaws for 1/2", 1/4" etc.) It's obvious it doesn't have that, but it goes to why I gave this 3 star wrench 2 stars.I deducted a star for value. This is one of the more expensive wrenches. You can easily get a wrench with these features with this sort of grindy and sloppy feel for 1/3 as much here on Amazon. I can't speak to how strong these are - there's a youtube review where these do stand up to a huge cheater bar, but for the homeowner, which I am, I'm not using this wrench where obscene amounts of torque will be applied to it. I'm using it by hand. You can get a much better quality feel wrench with the markings for 2/3 the price - one of the Channellock WideAzz models is very nice, opens wider, has a much smoother action and a nice rubber grip. For many uses, I actually think going away from these crescent style wrenches is best if you can - the Kinpiex pliers wrench jaw style (I don't recall the exact name, it's pliers that are adjustable with flat jaws) are much easier to use, but can't be used in all the same places as these. For my use, they are what I replaced this with (I did send this back after how crappy it felt to try and use for me).

BUY BUY BUY!
Absolutely great tool. I've recently purchased a few SK tools and I'm impressed with every one of them. This one looks and feels great. Glad to add this to my tool box. Love buying USA made tools!

Not the SK quality I've come to expect
I own several SK tools (wrenches and sockets) and the quality is very good. This wrench is no where near the US made, SK quality I've come to expect. The adjustable jaw is very loose. I have a Channel Lock brand (Not US made) that is of much higher quality than this tool. Since Amazon has free returns I will be returning this.

Excellent wrench
The mechanism has excellent tolerances and there is no wobble in the knob. It is well balanced and feels like it will last. It is also made in America, which is important to me.

Excellent Adjustable wrench
Excellent wrench that is very solid and well-made. I like the coating on the wrench that prevents rust. Made in the USA and not in China is a big plus.
