Hanna HatsMen's Donegal Tweed Original Irish Walking Hat

All was very good. Ordered Irish walking hat for outdoors.

I’ve ordered 2 of the Hanna Tweed Irish walking hats. I’m impressed with the quality. I used a little steam to mold the crown to more of the shape I wanted. Overall, the comfort is excellent and the construction appears to be quite sturdy. In both instances, dealing with Sullivan’s was quite easy—their shipping was fast and the product was as advertised. No worries at all buying from them.

I researched various internet sources on what the stated sizes actually met prior to ordering. Using that, I ordered a Large size, which was too tight. I replaced it with an XL and it’s perfect. I’ve found that ordering clothing online is, at best, sketchy due to screen color variances and personal opinion on what is a “good fit”. Sullivan’s was great about the swap, even absorbing the initial shipping charges. I’d both order a Hanna hat again, especially now that I’m comfortable with their sizing, and do so via Sullivan’s.

I love my new Irish Walking Hat by Hanna hats!!! The first day I wore it out and to work I received six compliments from friends and coworkers. Several folks were so interested they inquired where I got it.This is my third Hanna hat and will most likely purchase more. The patchwork is a lovely mix of earth tones.

I ordered this for my husband to replace a similar tweed hat that he lost. This new hat is very sturdy and good quality. His previous hat incorporated Gore-Tex in the fabric, which helped with water repellency, but the new hat looks like it will also provide some rain protection

I have one of these hats that is over 20 years old, and I love it. It is still in great shape, and the size Large fits me perfectly with a nice, long oval shape. So I thought I would get another color to wear with different coats. I am not nearly as happy with this hat. First of all the size Large now is larger, but more importantly they have changed the shape from a long oval to a round oval shape. So there are huge gaps on both sides of the hat, and it does not feel secure at all.Second, the last one was mostly just wool, which is great to keep you warm in the rain, and also breathes very well. The new hat has a full cloth lining, making it less breathable and much less warm if the hat gets really wet. When did we all get so delicate that wool can't touch our skin anywhere, it seems like this great natural fabric is now always being lined with some less-great fabric, to the detriment of functionality.I was very disappointed that these hats are not made as well as they used to be.

I had to send the first hat back, I ordered the wrong size, but everything went smoothly with the return and receiving the correctly sized hat. The hat is well made, I'll have it for many years to come. Thanks to all who made it happen!!

Too small for stated size. Horrified at the poor quality of packaging. For an online purchase this is the first point of contact. Very poor impression.
