We switched over to webcasting classes from our yoga studio during this pandemic.The studio is big room with all hard surfaces, and with no bodies there to absorb the sound, lots of echo from the walls and floors.We broadcast via Facebook Live from an Android smartphone on a tripod about 12 feet from the instructor.So we needed -- a wireless microphone with a tight audio radius ** that could be plugged into the smartphone's earphone jack ** (Why? because facebook live will not recognize a bluetooth microphone, only one plugged into the earphone jack)So if you have these or similar problems -- WOW this microphone RULES!No set up -- Turn on the mike and receiver and they pair automatically.Just click the receiver into the Smartphone earphone jack and you are ready to go...no 'pairing' with phone.Decent audio (see more on that below)Decent range (works fine for us from 15-20 feet, more than we need)I'd like to address some of the objections raised by other reviewers.Sound Quality.Decent, but you need to be aware of1) It has a VERY FOCUSED audio field. Keep the mike aimed STRAIGHT UP at your face from about 6-10 inches. Sound quality goes down significantly the more you vary from this.2) The transmitter volume can be adjusted, and that changes the quality. The transmitter powers up at volumen level 8. The higher the volume level the uglier the sound -- especially you hear lots of silibance with "S" sounds, etc. We found clicking the volume down 2 clicks (level 6) made the audio much more pleasant, while still very audible.However this is not a GREAT microphone for audio. You can buy a much better WIRED mike for the same money.But I don't think you can get ANYTHING comparable in an non-bluetooth WIRELESS mike in this price range. Does the job of letting talk AND move around, and it does that just fine.Second item: Pairing. The written instructions describe a method for pairing UNPAIRED transmitter and receiver. A little confusing to read, and probably to get working. HOWEVER, THIS UNIT CAME TOTALLY PAIRED AND READY OUT OF THE BOX. I think the people describing pairing difficulties may have been confused that things were already ready to go.NOTE: I tested this with different make ANDROID phones only. Everything work perfectly.

When I first got it, I tested it out and it worked fine with no effort. About a month later, I tried to use it for a YouTube video but it didn't work. I tried on two cameras, and although it said it was paired, absolutely no sound was transmitted. I charged the batteries when I got home and that seemed to fix the problem. There was no indication that the batteries were low, but charging them fully seemed to solve the problem so I put it out of my mind.But I put the mic aside until today when I tried to film. Again, the two parts were successfully paired but no sound was recorded. I made sure the batteries were fully charged and tested it again. Still nothing. It's completely broken and I never got to use it once except for sound tests. And my 90 days expired a few days ago so I'm stuck with it.

Customer service was in touch with me and offered a refund for the product. I was impressed that they offered me this as I was outside the normal return window. Will recommend this store in the future.Sound quality was below what we expected and it worked only intermittently. We unfortunately were unable to return it as it was outside of the return window by the time we received the item and were able to test it. Hopefully we will be able to try to get it to work again.

Pros: Easy to use. Picks up sound all around (about 10' strongly). Small and not very visible. Great price.Cons: Required a headphone jack to plug in to (so I needed to buy an adapter as not many phones have them anymore). Picks up almost too well as you hear crackling of anything it's touching (clothes or stand or pulpit). Volume adjuster doesn't seem to help any. Even with it on my shirt it picks up too loudly (so I leave it on a desk right in front of me and it does good). It picks up sound with a lot of high frequent (not much mud to low sound), so the quality is "crisp" and highly "hollow."For the price this is a great solution & buy!

While it did work for a good while, it's just a bit more of a hassle to use and charge than something else. Now the microphone quality is not the greatest but it works well enough as a starter or a stand-in mic for something.TL:DRThe mic worked, it's just the quality of it that sucked.

Stopped working for no reason that I could see. I take meticulous care of the thing, followed all troubleshooting protocols and it's just dead. I did not get my money's worth out of this mic. When it worked it was great. Now....not so great. I had it for 3months. When not in use I keep it in it's sack safely in the drawer. Nothing touches it and BOOM, dead.UPDATE: SO OK!!!These people went ahead and decided to be awesome. Of course I complained to all who would listen, after, during filming videos outdoors, the mic stops working. No bueno, as you can imagine. Well, they were cool on contact, asked some relevant questions about performance to see if I was troubleshooting and doing my part properly. I had and I was ready to kick up major dust too, depending on how they handled it. They're like.. cool, we got this and BOOM! Mailed me a replacement in no time! I wasn't ready for good business practices. I think I got a little dizzy:) Maybe a week it took to get to me. Now THAT'S how you do it people! Get some of your team to run for SENATE and I think we'll ALL be able to get some work done around here. Thanks guys. You have my vote!

It's a nice setup, just didn't workout for me, the audio volume was too low in my videos, needed to increase the volume in my video editor to 200% to make the sound somewhat usable at best but it's very tin sounding. I tried to test it using the mic jack on my computer to see if it was my video camera that was at fault but it did not work at all on my computer even though the computer sensed there was a microphone in the jack. I really wanted it to work out as in the video review.

Absolutely horrific audio quality. Any camera's built-in microphone is far better than this, would not recommend. I even put an audio cleaning filter over it just so remove some of the hissing sound, but it still sounds terrible. It sounds a lot like a voice speaking over a 1940's radio, so if that's specifically what you want it's decent. But for actually nice audio, absolutely do not buy.
