3.7V 1500mAh Battery Pack for Nintendo Wii U Gamepad WUP-012, WUP-010

So right before my Wii U screen went black it said out of charge. Purchased this battery. Recommend having a very small screw driver. Popped it in. Nothing. Then I looked closer at the power cord. Slight damage. Hello new puppy AriElla. Hmmmm. Took a chance. Purchased a new power cord. Up and running as good as ever. So this battery works and the new power cord. So much cheaper than a new system.

Seems like its brand new to me. I know the original battery doesn't last as long as one would hope but I wouldn't go for the larger ones. Usually they end up being cheap or end up screwing up your gamepad. The one this seller has is the real McCoy and works great.

Seems to be a real official battery. Took several hours to charge. Got just a little over 5 hours of play out of a single charge. Gamepad settings: Brightness 1, power save ON, rumble ON, Virtual Surround ON. Now comes the test of time.Edit 1-22-21: Still works great. And for those who keep asking if there are two per package, the answer is no. The picture is just showing you the front and the back of the battery pack. There is only one per.

There are a lot of junk or mislabeled batteries for the Wii U out there for sale. This is not one of them! I ran my usual test to gauge its ability. Bring the battery to full charge, start a game (Bayonetta, because it has a decent intro and game play loop at the beginning of the game) and let it run continually until the battery low indicator comes on. Ran the screen at full brightness and the audio slider all of the way off. Don't play the game, just let it run. The battery lasted 3 hours 16 minutes. Now of course, this is not indicative of how long the battery will last under normal game play conditions or different screen and audio settings but it does allow you to compare one battery to another. This battery outperformed a supposed 4000mAh by over 300% under the same test conditions. Overall, very pleased!!!

It was easy to change out

The main why we bought this iitem was to replace my battery for the wiiu gamepadWe bought this item on march 23, and the shipping to a US address was ok with no issues. Our relative sent us the item outside US on July 23. When we did the battery change it just didn't work, we thought it might need a charge boost and so we did it with a technician. Unfortunately it didn't work, the battery was simply broken. Worst of all, we wrote to the seller twice about this problem, they simply never responded. It is not possible for an item purchased on March 23 and installed 4 months later to be damaged.A handmade solution was to adapt the battery of a tablet using the cables from the broken item that they sold us.It is understood that the return window expired 14 days after it was sent, but that the seller does not respond to the communications, already gives a lot to consider about his lousy after-sales service.

My old WiiU controller pad would hold its charge for only a few minutes, changed out that old battery with this one and its good as new! (I’m glad I went with the original OEM one and not the off brand extra large ones, this original size battery still has plenty of play time in it).
