I bought two
I'm always happy to find things that are useful, inexpensive, and do just what they say on the tin. This is rare now-a-days and this hub happens to be one of those rare things. I purchased, what appears to be, the second gen model (I'll leave the pic). It feels premium, it's compact, and just works. You don't have to worry about the orientation of how you plugged in the USB-C, on either side of the hub. This is a big one as many things that are USB 2.0 spec are not agnostic. It's a pain to flip things until you get the right chain of orientation. Those who know, KNOW. I don't leave glowing reviews often but, I like this enough to have bought a spare - for no other reason than to have it. Thanks Twopan - for your rap music and USB hub.

Does what I need it to do
Product is good quality. The hub will not fit on the iPad with almost any case on it unless you remove the middle piece by sliding it out

I bought this for older Chromebook and it works fantastically!

Doesn’t actually do what it says it does.
Gets super hot really easily, even with minimal use for a short period of time. Beyond that, on my iPad Pro 12.9 5th Gen (M1), it doesn’t support being used with an external display at a higher resolution than 1024x768 (despite the TV being 4K and trying different cables, which should at the least be able to do 1920x1080 considering it’s HDMI). If it wasn’t such a pain in the rear end to return through Amazon, I’d have returned it.

Not For Use With Magic Keyboard
Did not fit when iPad is attached to magic keyboard. They probably stated that but I missed it....

Versatility
it could have been better if i can use with the cover. like insert to the iPad and the same time i can still put the the case to protect my iPad.

Does the job!
Purchased this to complete my MacBook to iPadPro transition. So far it’s been awesome to have. I barley ever notice that it’s there, the thickness is perfect and it blends well with my keyboard case!
