The record is in good shape plays excellent a little weird but ok

Phenomenal music enhanced by the vinyl medium. Quirky music with an edge that follows an auditory experience that reads like a story. Flawless and exceptional.

More performance art or satirical commentary than the kind of album you would listen to around other people at a party (unless you happen to be throwing a very, very weird party), this release from perpetual fly in the ointment Mike Patton and his extremely talented cast and crew of musical misanthropes is a must-have completely unique example of artistic vision and good-old-fashioned smart-assery.The lengthy song "Carry Stress In The Jaw" is as good an example as any of the tracks on this huge, outrageously weird album to illustrate the abberrant strangeness and anticommercialist streak evident here. Meandering it's way through nearly any and every style of music (showtunes, jazz, film scores, thrash metal, polka, children's nursery songs, spoken word beat poetry, carnival/horror show theme music, funk, pop, psychadelia and god knows what else to call it) and clocking in at over ten minutes in length, Patton serves as surrealist ringmaster to the circus-like proceedings, introducing auditory acrobats, clowns, lion-tamers, and a sideshow freak or two before firing himself out of a cannon. Truly odd, and completely original and compelling in some undefinable way. It's almost worth buying just to have around to play when you want to freak someone out....crazy.

This is a review of the Review of August 2014 import vinyl. By all accounts of research, the earlier (cheaper) reissue had problems. This one, however, is fantastic. I have a decent vinyl collection and a very good setup for playing records: a restored Sansui stereo and vintage Pioneer turntable with brand new Grado stylus/cartridge. This issue is low noise, full sounding, and impressive. The packaging is sparse but nicely done. It is printed on transparent vinyl, which is a cool touch.

Excellent detail and dynamics.

Remember that team of clowns that pulled the bank heist at the beginning of The Dark Knight? This is the sonic equivalent of being chased by those clowns and beaten with 2x4's, then picked up and danced with, before being set down at a gourmet restaurant and having pies thrown at the wall while everyone around you is being set on fire.It's not as listener-friendly as the first album by Mr.B., and definitely not as California, but just as terrifying in a good, entertaining sort of way. It's not for children, unless your kids are the half-offspring of Satan, but older ones would appreciate the comic value. My ten-year-old son found it to be too disturbing and nightmare-inducing to listen any further.If you're a die-hard fan of Mr. Bungle or anything that Mike Patton has done, then it's a valuable part of your collection, if nothing more, to say you have heard more of Mr. Bungle than say, Bruno Mars. Other than that, you probably want to stay away from this one as it takes weirdness to terrifying levels.

There is insane music, then there is Mr. Bungle's "Disco Volante". Easily the most experimental and bizarre album released by these guys. This album is extremely hard to describe, but should be listened to by all.

Honestly, if you are reading this you already know how fantastic this album is. Buy it for retrovertigo alone.

Not for the faint of heart or someone looking for easy listening, this is pure experimental madness and if you get it you'll absolutely love it. If not, you'll wonder what the flip is going on.

Ich kenne Mr Bungle schon seit den 90ern. Mir gefallen allerdings nur zwei Alben wirklich gut, Disco Volante ist eins davon.Irgendwie auch cool das die Scheibe aus New York per Luftpost gekommen ist. Die CD war original verpackt und wie beschrieben nagelneu. Habe die Wartezeit gerne in Kauf genommen.Qualität und Service alles bestens, tadellos!
