For use with an ARCHIVAL STORAGE BINDER
I’m old enough to remember when these were pretty much required equipment for anybody into photography. Print File Archival Preserver sleeves haven’t really changed in design for at least 40 years. They just work, and I couldn’t imagine using anything else (not that there is anything else anymore lol).Yes, the plastic has gotten flimsier and a lot jankier than it used to be. But these sleeves will still outlast the film you’re storing in them, especially if it’s color negative. If you shoot 36 exposure rolls, these are the sleeves for you.Because these sleeves hold strips of 6 35mm frames, they are too wide for a “regular” binder and will hang out the sides. But these sleeves were not designed to be used with regular binders, and for the best possible protection of your negatives, you should be using an archival storage binder anyway. That is what these sleeves are designer for. Search Amazon, I’ve used Adorama brand Archival Binders for decades and they hold up well and are only like 20something bucks. Now that even budget film stocks cost almost $20 a roll and another $5-$10 to develop, it makes sense to invest in storing them properly. Hope this helps!

Archive your Negs & Trans.
As an archivist it is important to me to have excellent storage of historical images. Negatives (color or B&W) and Transparencies are irreplaceable unless stored for future use.

misleading photo makes you think this will fit within a standard binder
The product does what it claims to do, but the picture is not a picture of the actual product. The picture here fooled me into imagining that these files would fit entirely within a standard binder, which is perhaps why the seller conveniently neglects to mention the actual page dimensions. Each page is 10" wide by 9-3/16" high. And sadly Amazon does not allow me to "report incorrect product information" (the final "submit" button does not work) despite the fact that I am logged in and I am a verified purchaser, so the picture is unlikely to be fixed by the time you read this. Here's what it looks like in a standard D-ring binder, both open and closed. Note that the pages stick out of the binder by about a half an inch.

Cheaply made for the cost. Bait and switch, not even the same as in the picture
Price too much for the quality.
