Scratch easily but strong
Used for stereo head unit backplate on a Haynie bay boat. We were able to cut these using a cnc machine without cracking or splitting. The flat surface does scratch easily though. Ended up roughing up the entire surface with sandpaper to even things out.

they worked
l had a brand new water tank and when l rolled it over l failed to notice a stake which left a 1"x1" hole on the bottom. l have since repaired some other where a tear items and or oppes

Good and heavy duty.
Don't know why people are complaing about it not being flat. You heat it up and mold it to whatever you need.

Great HDPE as long as you don't need it to be flat
I used this HDPE for cutting shapes on a CNC router. I typically order my thicker HDPE in 2x4 or 4x8 foot sheets and then cut it down at home because it's a lower cost per square foot. For 1/8" HDPE like this the larger sheets rarely ship without significant warping that takes a lot of effort to correct so they lay flat on the CNC table, so I usually order 12x12 inch sections to avoid this.Other sellers I've used will bind the sheets together to avoid warping during shipping, but this seller does not. They were left loose in the box and 3 of the 5 sheets were badly warped. I was able to use the other 2 without much work to correct the warping, and was happy with the results from them. The plastic was good quality, true to size/thickness, and cut well. If you don't care about the sheets laying flat or don't mind spending the time to unbend them these sheets could be very useful, but I will be going back to my usual supplier.

Not really thermal plastic
These HDPE squares are not really thermal plastic. They can be heated until soft but they do not hold a shape once removed from the form. They are very useful in other applications, though, as almost nothing sticks to the smooth side. I heat up other thermal plastic on these sheets and use them as the face side of a flat press. I did ruin one by using it to press other HDPE and they fused together, but that’s my fault. The plastic IS strong and resilient and is easy to drill through and attach with screws or bolts; glue doesn’t hold it well but two part epoxy will. Best used for flat applications.

used as a mousepad and it works
I bought these to find the best mousepad and it works. This specific built of HDPE has good control but also good speed. It works with both laser and optical mouse. Make sure you get some good mouse feet though because harsh surface or rough surface wear the mouse feet down.
